Ship Builder program?

By SJE, in Rogue Trader

Just wondering- has anyone put together a ship builder programme? Something that will let you enter your Ship points, then spend them on the Components and systems and hull of your choice, and then gives you the modified ship stats and abilities at the end?

Thx.

I was looking into making a random ship generator over the last few days. It's a bit trickier than I'd hoped. :)

I'm also looking at a random starting Acolyte/Explorer utility (I usually randomise just about everything anyway, this speeds things up for me :) ) but the sheer amount of data entry is a bit off-putting.

Well, I've managed to create a 4 worksheet excel document that lists ship hulls, weapons, essential and supplementary components. It also has a builder page that if you copy and paste the data from the previously mentioned lists, sums up everything and displays space and power remaining as well as SP total.

It's not much and not very user friendly but it works for my group. If anyone else wants it I'd be more then happy to share it.

I'd certainly be grateful for a look. Is there a private message function on these boards for email?

Well since I can't find a private message utility this will have to do.

Instructions:

This is a basic excel spreadsheet, nothing more, nothing less. All you need to do is copy the ship stat block from the the hull section to the builder page then copy and paste the appropriate components. If all else fails, this a complete list of all ship components in the book so feel free to use it as a reference.

Example ship: Pride of Damacles

I'm looking at making one with InspirationPadPro2. I want to make as many generators as possible with that program since it integrates into another program I use as a campaign organizer for all my gaming.

Check it out here - InspirationPadPro2

Its free and it would be awesome if other members here used it for generators too so that the community at large would have nice resources.
