I tried out this list last night testing 4 crits:

“Omega Ace” + Expose + Experimental Interface (27)

Colonel Jendon + Flight Instructor + ST-321 (33)

“Whisper” + Expose + Advanced Cloaking Device (40)

I have to say, 4 crits from Omega Ace is just demoralizing (Range 1 + Expose). You roll the dice and spend TL+Focus and just flip 'em all. Even if someone is going to evade 2 or 3 of those hits, its just looks horrible before defense is rolled! I played one game vs a scum list with Laetin/HLC, Drea/Ion, and Kavil, Autoblaster. I took initiative and he spread out quite a bit on his edge. I ended up feigning one of the Y's and switched at the last second to Laetin with Jendon and OA. Whisper almost single handedly took out Kavil from Range, but didn't really synergize with the rest of the list.

It worked great for Omega Ace, but Whisper didn't really fit in here. I originally thought Whisper would be good at PS7 to soften up the target, then Omega Ace would crit it like crazy. What different options would you take to compliment this list? Rexler is one option (as well as adding advanced sensors to Jendon), but can't fit HLC on there for maximum damage. The bad thing about Whisper in this list is that you give away your alpha strike long before it happens (with Target Lock passing). Vader perhaps? or maybe Juno to add to the carnage? What would you pair up with omega ace?

30 points. It goes with your list. Maarek choosing which crit is brutal, and with ATC and Calculation (When attacking, you may spend one of your focus tokens to change a focus result to a crit result ), Maarek is brutal.

That seems like an expensive omega ace, but to get the most out of those crits, you might want to take an HLC Defender.

Add advanced homing missile to this. If you are up against big ships, being able to put your choice of crits right through the shields is brutal. Possibly change out Calculation for PTL, to give him more focus/evade survivability.

Another option is Deathrain with Proton bombs. If your opponent is swarming you, she can drop a proton to give them all crits right through shields.

don't bother fen-angling with PS in order to force crits through. Omega's ability is so slow without PTL that you'll strip shields before he fires anyway, and the real benefit of the ability is the guaranteed hits

While the first list was very one-trick-pony, I'm going to try this critlist tonight:

I'd really like to get that Omega Ace more dice (And I have a plan for a cross faction tournament here soon!) but this seems to be the way to go for now...
