Just a crazy thought but if someone is taking 9-12 tie fighter squads would tracker beans make squads more letal. Rogues and Vill are going to have impressive ships but will tracker beans have more of a Benefit with cheap wave 1 fighters?

Ozzel is just so 3 ships can fit in not ablity. The Home 1 is slow enough you can get it without tracker beams, and Fett just to mess with people.

i think tractor beams are more for the AF line. Take out the middle one and you have now isolated the lead ship while the third ship may ram the second or break up the convoy. I almost want to take direct isard with tractor beams to see if my opponent has a navigate that turn. if you are doing early damage maybe they emergency engineering and you can catch them with their pants down.

The lethality of tracker beans depends on the amount of gas released when consumed as fuel.

You'd be better off going with a regular Firespray and using literally any other commander. Ozzel is completely useless in this list - anything to drum up the 4 necessary points for Motti is worth it. It's definitely worth 1 TIE at least, otherwise you are really just flushing 20 points.

Squadrons upgraded with tracker beans replace their laser fire with a hail of lethal heat-seaking explosive beans. FFG has finally heard the calls for squadrons to be better and has given them an OP upgrade. You read it here first, folks.

In all seriousness, yes tractor beams are going to make squadrons that much more dangerous. I'm pondering a double MC80 build with tractors and a swarm of B-Wings. Could be mean.

tractor beams with rebels may be better than with imps. I typically think from the imperial mindset since its 99% what i play.

I am considering tractor beams on my rebel fleet. There is a lot to be gained by using them defensively, slowing down the imperial ships that are so desperate to close the distance. They would also have great utility in rebel mirror matches.

For this sort of use just one would probably be enough disruption. Spamming them is more likely to be an imperial thing.

I wonder if a Navigation Officer would be helpful to partially counter tractor beams? Not as helpful if you eat 2-3 tractors in the same turn, but I think learning how to avoid multiple tractors is going to be a thing anyway.
