**Aces really high**

This is actually one squad that has evolved from my first tournament I ever played in X-wing and with five Kihraxz Fighter. My the biggest issue with five Kihraxz was that I had nothing to modify my attack dice over the normal focus or TA. That really became my biggest issue in that tournament after all, all those high agility ships with defence die modifying capabilities was just enought to leave me just over 20p down to the line that I would of been in semi-final rounds. And that got me thinking that I could of done everything that I accomplished in those games with only four ships if I had chance to modify some extra damage to my opponent. To simplyfy, destroy more ships or make more damage for the bigger ones, like IG's. And to be honest, IG88 list wast the only one to win me 100-0 and I did only 1 damage with five ships to two IG88's, dice played huge role, like in every dice game, but if I just would of had something to modify that would of been the answer to my calls!

So this is designed for tournament gaming, not that I would not try those others too, but this is at my top 3 on place 1 at the moment. :ph34r:

And just to say, AutoKavil has been savage in every game it has been involved with!! It is the nightmare for every fragile and high agility ship and does well enough with bigger ones too. It is surprisingly maneuverable and causes chaos around him when he comes around, because nobody wants him in crowd :wub:

I have been wanting to try AutoKavil but haven't gotten around to it. He is a little pricey and mission specific to just toss into a list at random I think and that is why I haven't tried it out yet.

I think you left the Virago title off the Prince. He can't get Adv. Sensors without it.

If you know that you are playing against aces or other small base ships then AutoKavil is pretty secure choice, but it is expensive tho.

I found that Kavil with Unhinged Astromech and EU will easily slip behind enemy arcs or well in the range 1, but you really want to get in the crowd there, it also works as good scare tactic against those real aces that have better PS than Kavil does, in the other hand they wanna stick around and take you out, but they are so vulnearable at the range one that they are constantly worrying that and that is point were my opponent starts to do more mistakes. That EU is the reason for that Predator being there, to have ability to modify those attack dice. I am not so familiar with meta that I don't know would it be better with Push The Limit and with those two actions you could have your focus, but I was thinking that it was important for him not to be restricted by stress and green moves, so I end up with Predator.

Reason why I like AutoKavil so much is that I have had way too many games against Rebels and Imperial where my opponent had one of those slippery ships that are so hard to get in to the arc, they dodge so well that even having four or five hits they have so many focus and evade stacked up that they just won't get any damage in. This took care of that issue very effectively!! :lol:

Would it be worth giving AutoKavil VI for ace-hunting? How much pointbid is needed for PS9 these days?

I think you might have missed the point of the build.

He's using the "Autoblaster," which doesn't need focus to fire. It just, fires... But it is "range 1." The cool thing about this turret, is that all hits, can not be canceled by evade dice! On top of that, if your out of arc, he gets an extra damage dice to roll. That's pretty powerful, and pretty scary for any high agility autothrusting player who likely wants to and can be within range 1 of you at will as well as out of arc. NOT NICE! =)

I do think predator would be an awesome edition, but as others are pointing out, this guy is pretty expensive already.

Anyway, obviously the weakness of this build is that it's a slow and not very maneuverable ship [though with the agro mech that makes all speed 3 maneuvers green, that really helps,] and as easy as it is to stay in range one, it's also easy to stay at range 2 and widdle away a low agility ship with one less red die.

That said! I totally just added this guy to my lists of interesting ships I definitely want to try and fly at some point =D

yeaaa I read Baster turret not auto-blaster turret ... never used blaster turret because of its range 1 only

I find him very interesting pilot and build! For me the only reason for paying that 3p for that Predator was to patch up that loss of focus action if and when that EU is needed to reach that range 1 or to move out of fire arc to gain one extra attack die.

I've always run AutoKavil with PTL, rather than Predator, as PTL means you can TL/Focus and Boost, and then the Unhinged Astromech lets you do crazy speed 3 greens to clear your stress. 60% of the time, it works every time. *thumbs up*

I was thinking of Push the Limit at first but did not wanna relay mostly on green moves, all tho that Unhinged Astromech will gives some variety for that. That might work much better than Predator and give some defensive capability to Kavil.
