Nexus of Power
Behold; Gungans...
Oh boy. They are adding Gungans.
Behold; Gungans...
Oh, joy.
They had to appear sometime...
But hey! LOTHAL!
That is some sweet cover art. Really though, the design of the Temple Guards is pretty awesome in general.
It looks like FFG is really starting to dip into content from TCW/Rebels now, as opposed to older Legends material. Bardotta, Lothal... one third of the article pretty much talks about stuff in the last arc of TCW. Species choices all make sense to me; I started to suspect Devaronian would be in F&D somewhere (I wonder if the females are going to be the furry creatures from older Legends or look more like Maladi?)
Of the 12 planets that will feature, it mentions: Naboo, Dagobah, Lothal, Bardotta and Ossus. I'm guessing we can throw Coruscant in there with them. EDIT: throw Ilum in there as well. 7/12 planets known.
Edited by Blackbird888Karabast! I'm not buying the Force and Destiny line, and it has to be the one that will inteoduce the Aleena! Also, Bardottans, Devaronian and Gungans are cool.

...you realize how many useful things for all three lines there are in each book, don't you?
It's like FFG knows how to market to rabid fanboys, or something...
Oh I want this one badly, it looks mega awesome.
Probably have to wait around a year though with all these slow ships.
Sweet!
I for one am happy to see Gungans. Because I'm planning a lot of underwater action. Mon Calamari, Nautolans, Quarren and now Gungans.
Sweeeeeeet...
I am especially encouraged by how it will be available in the first quarter of 2015.
Holy crap! Devaronians!
Hooray, we finally got Devaronians! I was expecting them to show up in EotE first, but as long as they're here I'm happy
Aleena, cool. One of my favorite low-key species. Looks like a winner to me.

Well. considering how many of them
are
rabid fanboys when it comes to Star Wars...
Curious to see how Lothal shakes out.
Given the lead time on the books, I wonder if any of the events of the second season (or even the entire first season) will have an impact on how it's presented.

The product page also mentions Mortis. So that's 8/12. Here's hoping Tython, Korriban, and Dathomir are among the remaining four.
Available 1st quarter 2015! You mean this has been out for more than 6 months and nobody said anything! Thanks guys.
Not a bad selection, though such a book would have been ideal to introduce the Draethos, Neti, or Miraluka. But that's more a minor nit pick on what species I want to see.
Gungan jedi... Does that mean if they use a mind trick to make someone think/say something, they will repeat it in Gungan-speak? "Meesa be thinkin these not bein the droids weesa lookin for", for example?
This is going to be an awesome sourcebook!!!!
I can't wait for the new species and new planets!!!
Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. All my nightmares are coming true. A legion of munchkin characters. A full party of Gungans. WHY? WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!!!
In other news, turns out everyone's prediction on what the planet sourcebook would be was right. Are we perceptive or did FFG steal our idea?
Aleena and Devaronians I'm excited for, as with the Bardottans (or Phuii, as Wookieepedia would have me believe).
As for the planets, I think we'll definitely see Korriban (or Moraband as the powers that be would declare) and Dathomir had sufficient coverage in TCW that we might see it, but I have a sinking feeling that tells me we won't see Tython (for starters in Legends it was ravaged by the time of the New Sith Wars, though the Force could have repaired it) since FFG have never mentioned it despite its canon importance so they're either keeping it under wraps or not planning to use it. Though perhaps one of the contributors on here could tip me a wink one way or the other?
And of course we can expect endless plotlines involving sending a group of PCs to Ilum for their crystal hunt, but that can be forgiven...

I'm pretty sure Ossus had also been ravaged by the time we reach the Rebellion era. Soooooo that doesn't put Tython out of the running.
Meesa, for one, be welcoming weesa new time traveling Gungan overlords.
But seriously this looks great, lots of locations to explore and species to play with.
Dagobah? New Gear? you know what that means.... We'll finally have stats for a briefcase full of mozzarella sticks!
Finally the Gungans are represented, now we can develop the "real" Jar Jar Binks ... or can we? (just an interesting an fun article by a person who goes by the name of Lumpawarroo, and I saw it's posted in the EotE forum):
