I think it hits the hail in the head.
And the muppets are great
But really the lack of news is the reason the forums are like this. The environment is stagnating and that's perfect spawning grounds for trolls!

The lack of X-Wing news is like the lack of wind for the ship.
Causing "Cabin Fever" among the forum members "crew" that has caused them to behave in a manner that can make them seem like trolls, when in fact they're just trying to amuse themselves.

Well, they have the unfair edge of Tim Curry, plus a bunch of weird, fuzzy puppets, plus a story outline. My favorite part of Muppet movies in general is when you have someone like Tim Curry or Michael Caine having a perfectly normal conversation with some ridiculous looking Muppet as if this is as perfectly normal as it is gravely serious.

It's a bit sad really. They could never release another ship again, and I'd be happy. We don't need a constant stream of new releases.
Is it the lack of X-Wing news causing the insanity, or the lack of BACON? I hereby petition for bacon to be included as part of a balanced diet

That into, "Shiver my Timbers" is still like #4 on my list of songs to be a Bad Guy™ to!
