2015 Worlds Results

Haha thats really confusing. Let me try to sum up. A tlt with tac shoots at me at r2 inside arc. I only recieve 1 stress even though the tlt rolls three dice twice because tac only triggers as you chose target which is only once with tlt, right? If the ship also has a stressbot on board (kwing) I receive 2 stress. One from bot and one from tac. If i get shot by a btl y with stress bot i get 2 as the bot Can trigger off of Both shots, right? So: tac Never gives two stress with just a tlt?

No, Tactician isn't dependent on choosing targets. Tactician resolves after each single attack. TLT performs two attacks, each attack triggering Tactician.

If there is a hypothetical modification allowing a crewmember on the Y-Wing you could get:

Y-Wing

R3-A2

Tactician

Twin Laser Turrets

BTL-A4

Attacking at range two.

Declare attack

Take stress from R3-A2 to give a stress to target

Attack with primary

Tactician triggers, giving a stress

BTL-A4 triggers, allowing you to start using the TLT

You declare a target for the TLT

R3-A2 triggers, giving you a stress to give the defender his third stress

Tactician triggers after the first attack, fourth stress

Second attack, no declaration of target

Second attack resolves, Tactician triggers for the fifth stress.

And that is why we won't get a crewmember for the Y-Wing anytime soon.

So k with bot and tac equals three stress and World domination unless your opponent is pheaver.

K-Wing can't take a stressbot, has no astromch slot. 2 is the max, and that list was not eliminated (although beaten) by Pheaver, but by Nathans Corran/Poe/Prototype.

Anyone brought a YV-666 to worlds? Any Khiraxes? Tie Bombers?

I heard that the only ships not represented at Worlds were M3-A Interceptor and the Tie Bomber.

Had I been there...I couldn't have decided between representing TIE-Bombers or HWKs. HWKs had given me a better shot at winning, but Bombers are lovely!

Probably doesn't matter, since I would first have to win a national that sponsors your flight, but still. I'd love to be there one day.

~300 players. I'm sure someone brought every ship.

A friend of mine at the event said Alex Davy told him the only ships not represented were the M3A interceptor and Tie Bomber as well. Surprising to me, but he's a pretty honest guy so I'll believe him haha.

I for sure thought there was a Serissu there.

Considering there were about 300 players, it's very likely Alex Davy didn't even really know either, and just said that to appease my friends insistent bothering of him.

Ghost with docked Phantom, TLT, and tactician will be able to drop 4 stress per round. Targets have to be in arc at range 2 but holey hades.

Even crazier Edit:

Put on Accuracy Corrector and Gunner.

  1. Attack with TLT and use AC to cancel all dice results w/o adding the two hits. Two attacks but guaranteed misses.
  2. Gunner! Attack with your primary and drop another stress.
  3. At the end of combat phase, attack again with TLT. 2 more stress!

Five stress per round! Potentially on three different targets.

Edit #2: As Sithborg pointed out, gunner does not allow another attack that round...

If tactician were not limited? 8 stress per round!

That sounds amazing. If there also is room for a Stressbot next to that we have a deadly list.

That isn't how it would work. Gunner would prevent the special turret attack. Also, there is some question on how the TLT will interact with the title's special attack.

dear (dice)god - no. just no.

Entirely correct on Gunner. I don't see any question on the title though. Simply says the Ghost gets to attack again with a turret weapon.

It says that you cannot attack again, to prevent a gunner shot. There is reasonable debate on whether the phrasing would allow the second TLT attack.

Don't forget this bit:

"If it performs this attack, it cannot attack again this round."

I'd think that would only let it use the first attack from a TLT.

I guess I can see what you mean?

Title says "If it performs this attack"

You're are hearing "If you have already attacked using the turret weapon." Is that correct?

I would argue that "this attack" is the additional attack granted by the title itself. The language seems clearly self-referential to the attack described on title card itself.

I could be wrong of course but we'll see.

TLT is defined as two attacks, just without the first 2 steps.

So I think both gunner and the title would stop the second attack happening from TLT.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere: are replays of the Final and other matches up anywhere yet?

Only 15 Twin Laser Turrets in the top 16? I am amazed.

The FFG twitch stream has them archived :) So that's 8 matches from the rounds and then 4 rounds yesterday.
