Hi,

in the rules it says on the cards either "go" or "move" to a region xyz? Is it the same, can I jump from one region to the other or do I have to go all along the roads?

I do not believe there is anything that will let you "teleport" around the map. You would have to move to that location via standard movement rules along roads or the shipping lanes with gold payment. I hope this helps, if not please do not hesitate to ask more questions and perhaps even have a specific example because that will help as well.
