It's not even slightly competitive at 27 points, but I really want to run:

N'Dru Suhlak

Opportunist

Stealth Device

Proton Rockets

The perfect shot is: Prockets 2 + Agility 3 + Opportunist 1 + N'Dru 1 = 7 attack dice from a Z-95, unless I'm missing something. Not half bad.

Has anyone else tried this? Or had even the slightest success with it or something similar?

I would not expect too much except maybe against a totally new players. Range 1 of a Z-95 is pretty easy to dodge, if impossible the opponent will at least focus to cancel Opportunist and odds are pretty high that Steath Device will already be stripped once(if) you get in range 1... A 19 pts Scyk will give you the same result for 8 pts cheaper.

Cluster Missiles are better. With the first round of attack you can attempt to strip tokens. If successful, Opportunist kicks in with the added die. If N'Dru is beyond r2 of a friendly that's a 4+5 CM attack. Not too shabby. The key is beyond r2. That can be hard to do. He's not agile enough, fast enough or tanky enough to fly on his own for long as a flanker. You need to pick a target and try and separate it from the herd.
