So if I have greedo and I shoot first, when then I get shot back by a TLT which is the first time I'm attacked. What happens, Someone mentioned that with an ION cannon greedo can deal crits.
I'm not sure how that is? Can someone explain it?
Thanks,

It's the first attack. So the one damage through would be face up in the first attack, not second.

Thanks for your totally useless comment

You don't.

Ok, but doesn't the TLT say cancel all damage and take just one hit. So basically If you have greedo vs TLT, they get no bonus and you get the bonus.
The first time you attack or defend each turn, the first damage card dealt to and by you is face-up with Greedo. The first TLT shot, if it hits and deals hull damage, deals a face-up card. The second would not, as TLT is two separate attacks. When defending, if this is the first attack that hits Greedo and deals a damage card, it's face-up.
Since an ion cannon deals a damage in addition to the ion effect, if that damage would go to hull it's face-up because of Greedo, hence critical with an ion cannon.

Thanks so basically, Greedo overrides the rule that all damage is cancelled and you take a hit.
Your welcome.
Greedo means the first damage dealt is face up. TLT says that after all the dice are done (and you hit), you are dished out a damage. So, you deal damage that is normally face down. Greedo then turns that damage face up. So, he doesn't supercede the rule.
I.E. Greedo doesn't change dice. He changes cards.
Edited by heychadwickThanks! I get it now.

He doesn't exactly override it, he just triggers after it. For the TLT, it says to cancel all dice results and do 1 damage. Once you are doing the damage, Greedo kicks in and asks two questions:
Is this your first attack this turn?
Is the damage dealing a damage card?
If the answer is yes to both questions, Greedo makes the card face up. If it isn't your first attack, he doesn't trigger (like on the second TLT shot or a gunner shot). If you aren't dealing a damage card (like if all damage hits shields), he doesn't trigger.
Twin laser turret:
Each time this attack hits, the defender suffers 1 damage. Then cancel all dice results.
Greedo:
The first time you attack each round and the first time you defend each round, the first Damage card dealt is dealt faceup.
Twin Laser Turret is treated as two separate attacks against the same target. During the second attack, the “Declare Defender and Weapon” step is skipped. (X-Wing FAQ, Version 3.2, Updated 09/04/2015)
Case 1:
First attack.
you roll attack dice.
defender rolls defense dice.
if you hit the attack causes 1 damage.
if defender has no shields damage card is dealt, and Greedo triggers flips this up.
Second attack:
Twin laser turret triggers and you attack again this is your second attack no Greedo triggers.
Case 2:
First attack
You attack with your first shot of TLT and miss.
Second attack:
Attacks a hit Greedo still doesn't trigger as this is your second attack this round.
The same counts for when your getting shot back by a TLT or multiple TLT's. In fact you can be shot by 4 TLT's thats eight attacks but Greedo only triggers against you for the first attack of the first TLT shot.
Conclusion:
TLT doesn't cancel damage it explicitly causes 1 damage, then cancels all -dice-.
You don't really wanna run Greedo with twin laser turrets something that has more attack dice and is more likely to hit like a heavy laser cannon is a better fit. I think Greedo might see more play if people don't mind running glass cannons. I know its tempting to put him on a hawk for the turret but the first time you attack against a defender its usually when they have their best defenses up focus/evades. You want to be able to smash though these.
Firespray's, Yv-666, Hawk as well as the two coming scum ships G-1A and JumpMaster. Of these five ships id say the Hawk is the worst to put Greedo on it has the lowest shields and (most likely) the worst dial.

I appreciated Dathkray's snarky comment. I don't think anyone should take the internet too seriously.

Normally I'd agree, but if you look at his thread and post history, he's just spamming 90% of the time.
