The Empire has Palp...

Could do something to do with Yoda's clairvoyance. Maybe a discardable card, activate it at the start of the activation phase to flip over all enemy maneuver dials?

Alternatively, chose an enemy ship at the start of the game, if that ship is within range 1-2 of any friendly ship, its maneuver dial is always placed on the table face up. Or...something. I have no idea.

We do need an Ackbar, that would be cool.

We also need some Rebel only EPTs cause they have none, but whatevers.

Ben Kenobi - Modification:

Your ship loses Target Lock. When attacking, you may change one blank result into a Critical result.

Very thematic - I like it, even if it's similar to Palpatine's ability.

Obi Wan Kenobi 3pts When your ship is destroyed increase you attack value by 1 and immediately make a primary attack. Then remove your ship from play.

Yoda 8 points 2 crew slots:

Before the first activation phase, turn this card face down, and return Yoda to the dagobah system where he belongs.

Obi Wan, 2 slots

You cannot be targeted by attacks if the attacker could target another ship instead.

I'm not the target you're looking for.

No. I meant what I typed. Every round Yoda assigns 3 total focus tokens to any one or more ships. Not giving actions just assigning tokens. Would Evade tokens glue the break?

Well then that's insanely overpowered for 6 points. It's like giving 3 ships a crew slot and RecSpec or an EPT slot & stress-less PTL. Evades would be even worse I'm afraid. Something that powerful should be 8-9 points at least.

And assigning focus tokens is even better than giving focus actions. You can assign tokens to ships that are stressed or that have already focused. My point about the PTL was that you would opt to TL then Yoda focus every turn.

****. I thought I put it higher...typo. 9 or even 10 points.

Some other restrictions would work, Maybe the focus tokens can only go to ships that have no focus or stress tokens already.

Add: Then recieve 1 Stress token (on the yoda ship).

Well it would be nice if we got Mon Mothma for the Rebels, and eventually Ackbar and Thrawn in the game.

Yoda 8 points 2 crew slots:

Pfft, Yoda is HALF a crew slot at most.

Wouldn't Ackbar and Mon Motha be more at home in the Armada game.

Isn't Home One being released soon, Ackbar's ship...

Mon Mothma and Ackbar are both in Armada, and his squidness is brutal in Armada. He'd be the equivalent of a 9.5 cost for an X-Wing card. And yes, he's that good. Mon Mothma is pretty useful too, depending on the fleet build.

To the same extent as Palpatine, yes.

Empire has Palpatine, Rebels have C-3P0, Scum need Jabba.

First attack by a range 1 Talonbane.

no....no they don't. plus, in this era, it wouldn't be thematic either.

Yoda isn't thematic in a Star Wars game set during the time that we first see yoda? Cmon man, I think your version of theme differs from mine.

Yoda's ability should be tied to when he lifts Luke's X-Wing out of the swamp - he can force one ship (enemy or friendly) to do a barrel roll. You get to perform the barrel roll move for the ship, even if it is enemy.

A do or do not there is no try ability could work. If last hull point was removed roll one defense die, on an evade result discard the last damage card and the ship remains on the table and cancel all uncanceled hits and critical hits.

Yoda never leaves Dagobah.

We never see the Emperor leave the Death Star either - and we DO see Yoda on the Endor moon at the end of ROTJ, so he does leave Dagobah. Either way none of that matters. Yoda is absolutely thematic.

We never see the Emperor leave the Death Star either

Except the part where he rides in on a shuttle.

You know, the exact part that most uses of him in this game emulate.
