Hey IFF,

Why do you have to make fun out my brother Ardaedhel on his one shot ISD post. I mean seriously what made you guys the Armada Gods. You tell your stories of your games on an entire podcast. Ardaedhel had a legit story to tell, that shows how you can maximize a ship type, which many players might have been interested in hearing. Yes it was a rare circumstance, but that is what made it a cool story. So why not cool it a bit?

No. We can't. No one is safe, including ourselves. Noone on the cast meant it as a direct personal attack. You bringing this up here just gave it more attention than anyone else gave it while listening.

great review and analysis on the Rogues and Villains pack!

Woot woot.

I have not listened yet but I am sure this is up for podcast of the year.

They are pretty gosh-darn-neat...

:)

Good show. Makes me want to get in the tub with you. Plus I need one of those awesome MM T-shirts. She's da bomb!

Anyway, regarding Rikeean:

Ask yourself this question: how many times have you

A) lost a ship before it could fire in a round?

B) been forced to activate ships in a sub-optimal to avoid A?

C) been prevented from moving in a certain way, because that would spell doom for your ship next turn?

D) had a ship that would be a GREAT blocker, if only it could survive for one more turn...

Etc.

Many times I bet. Rikeean helps with all of the above. I think he'll give a Rebel fleet a lot of maneuver options. Might take some experience to do him right, but I think he'll see some use eventually.

Note to self: one of these days I'll managed to spell General R's name right. One of these days...

It was me! There was more than one person that shared a story like that so hopefully no one really thinks it was about them. Except Steve. This is definitely about me fighting with Steve.

Note to self: one of these days I'll managed to spell General R's name right. One of these days...

With you there. As for the rest of the Rieekan comments you made, I see all that and raise you "double ramming". Lots of interesting possibilities since he breaks a core rule - I just don't understand how he feels on the table yet.

We all know what it's like to face Screed, Mothmonsterman, etc and I'm pretty sure I understand Ackbar completely at this point ("gaaaah 500 dice out the sides! Run away!") but I don't understand RieekRAM yet like that. Yet.

Only Armada podcast?

Maybe I remember how that section went down differently than it did. The only person I remember poking fun at the concept of one shotting an ISD was Judson, and the real joke is how hilariously wrong he is. He has yet to experience the power of the red die. If you think "We" were making fun of your brother's story, I'd relisten to the segment. Oh, we also made fun of Dano not knowing what "one shot" meant when he talked about "one shotting" a ship after all of his ships shot at him :)

"I mean seriously what made you guys the Armada Gods. " That one I CAN answer. it was.... THE PROPHECY.

I think he could potentially see a lot of use. The one caveat is this: why take Rieekan when you can take Ackbar instead? :D

So do I! BUT it's third grade rules, Lyr. We make fun of YOU because we like you :)

No one is above having fun poked at them. It's the great equalizer.

I just started the episode and on the first rule change of the FAQ.

Yeah man, anyone who takes anything personally on our podcast is being sillier than we are!

Yeah, that was a good discussion. I stand by the fact that XI7s are gonna be the bomb.

But man, I just cannot wait to see the R&V on the table!

Played Reekeyekin last night, all that up there happened, cept going off the board bits. Very very very cool.

I used 3xCorvettes, Neb, MC30, Nym, Keyan, Jan Orrs, 3xAwangs. Vs ISD, VSD, 2xGSD, Raider. Objective was Fleet Ambush, I was player 1.

Lotta science being exercised for sure.

Oh, now it's probably cooler if you never spell his name correct EVAH! Reekydeeky is a good experience for sure.
