I think you can actually improve the prequals by edditing out a lot of stuff. (Altough this might leave you with a very short Attack of the Clones)

Have you not seen the fan edit that reduces the prequels to one movie 2 and a half hours long, it's surprisingly watchable he even made the romance passable using the deleted scene with the family having dinner.

Christian Bale is the best Batman yet. Michael Keaton was second best. Val Kilmer and George Clooney were just..... NO!

For me it's Jack Nicolson, Cesar Romero, Mark Hamil, Heath Ledger. In that order.

I've only known Jack Nicolson and Heath Ledger as the Joker, and I agree with the order. Heath Ledger was scary, an awesome actor, but good olde Jack was still the best of the two.

I'd like to see the prequels remade ...with some significant script changes. See the "What if Star Wars Episode 2 were good?" video on YouTube for a great idea of how to remake the prequels and have them be appropriately powerful.

And of course ditch Jar Jar, midichlorians, and other BS in the process.

We have to remember that Phanton Menace was the first time where Mr. Lucas was both the business owner and customer. He was pushing CG technology. Why? Because it is his passion? Because it would bring in business if done well?

Like all technology, it develops in small steps. We need George's 'vision' to push it to the boundaries so we can learn, and have the finances and interest there to continue investing in it. Sadly, we needed bad CG in movies as it was part of the maturation of the technology. It just sucks that it was our Star Wars that progressed CG from its pre-pubescent years into its moody experimental era.

Double sadly, things like acting, directing and scripting took a back seat to this tech too.

I think if Disney were to re-do this entire prequel trilogy, it could be great. they'd have to retcon a ton of stuff. But man - I'd love to see a fresh take that makes sense.

They should remake the "original" trilogy. Because it lacks any acting skill aside from Han.

Seeing the trailer was enough for me. Then they told me that was all the good/action scenes from the entire movie thrown togehter. the rest of the movie is worse.

It makes Rise of the silver surfer look like the Winter soldier...

The rest of the actors of the IV V VI episoded act lame.

I might admire him as "the man who voiced the Joker" but Luke was an acting failure with roughly the same face expression and depth through the films.

Wow, that's some OT hate there.

Granted, Carrie Fisher was on a lot of drugs during filming, but Mark Hammil, though not the best actor, was very expressive, I thought. And there's only so much you can do with Star Wars dialogue.

But there were small problems. Too many of them. Obi Wan in the OT makes it seem like he met this guy named Anakin, who was a great pilot, and it just kind of sets up a scene where Obi Wan should have met Anakin on his own, and taken it upon himself to train him - but Episode 1 changed all of that, and let to a huge inconsistency.

The two events dont really conflict. We obiwan first met anakin in ep 1 it was after his amazing race that won them 5he parts they needed to fix their ship.

The OT also makes you feel like Yoda trained Obi-Wan in a similar manner that Luke gets trained, with a lot of 1 on 1 training - and the prequels somewhat contradict this and turn Yoda into a Kindergarten teacher.

Thats not really a contradiction, we where never shown what went into normal jedi training in the ot.

And Padme being "fine" with Anakin slaughtering an entire village, including women and children.

The village full of raiders that were going around maming and killing random people. The same raiders that were seen by padme in the previous movie taking shoots at podracers and even took out at least one. Most importantly of all these are the same people that abducted anakins mom and for months tortured her till she died.

Padme may have felt some sympathy for the tuskin raiders after they were killed BUT left alone they would still be killing people, talk8ng some as slaves, and torturing them till they die.

Its not like she didn5 know about how deviant raiders were, she was having a talk with anakins stepdad when he told her about the rescue groups sent out 5o get anakins mom being wiped out by the raiders.

It sucks they had to die but lets face it, they were a threat to anyone on that planet except maybe the hutts.

And one of the worst things, was that you do not, at all, get the idea that Anakin and Obi Wan were "Good friends". The very first time we see Anakin and Obi Wan together as "Master and Student" in episode 2, they are arguing. In fact Anakin complains about Obi Wan virtually non-stop throughout the entirety of 1 and 2.

They show their friend ship in ep 3 as well as the cw.

And there were big ones. Medicloriens was a big one. Anakins sudden and immediate decision to serve the emperor and kill children was another.

How are the Medicloriens a big contradiction? They made clear why Anakin wanted to serve the Emperor. The jedi had the force abilities to keep padme alive... they only teach it to masters and healers, hence why anakin was angry about not being a master, sidious was the onlyone offering to teach him an ability more powerful than the one he could have learned from the jedi, to keep his wife and children alive. He was suffering nightmares nonstop like the ones he had before his mom died. Even a force attuned child is a threat and at the least can be used as a beacon of hope by any future rebel forces.

That being said i dont think Vader killed all the children, just the uncorruptble ones. He probably took the rest to be trained to be agents of the new order and or shadow guard.

Yep plus Alec Guiness was good. (That is still Obi Wan to me, not that guy from trainspotting)

And on the villain side: peter Cushing (hell yeah!) as Tarkin.

And what Vader concerns: If you got a cool mask, the stature of David Prowse and the voice of James Earl Jones, you don't to act.

The imperial officers weren't to shabby either. Veers, Needa, Piett, Motti, all were pretty convincing and professional support actors.

Tarkin is a very nastily portrayed villain. (Though I would love to see Thrawn, but who wouldn´t?)
