Wave 8 is finally "at the printer"!

By ramy, in X-Wing

Amazon shows an availability as of 31 JAN 2016

My predictions, based on past data, are as follows:

Gozanti: on sale April 11, 2016

Wave 8: on sale January 5, 2016

This assumes the average "Epic" delay of 255 days between website initial reveal and website release announcement.

The average delay for a wave is only 158 days.

Of course, FFG could've sped the process up recently, but I doubt it.

Wave 1: 150 days

Wave 2: 167 days

Wave 3: 132 days

Wave 4: 139 days

Wave 5: 166 days

Wave 6: 194 days

Wave 7: 128 days

Aces 1: 182 days

Aces 2: 191 days

Epic 1: 253 days

Epic 2: 275 days

Epic 3: 238 days

I don't know why somebody hasn't simply put a printer on a boat. This way when a wave is at the printer, they can start the 45 day's at sea, and by the time printing is finished they can dock and load em on the truck.

Why not have a big printer, that can print out boats? Then you can put the big printer on the boat, and have it print out another boat that will be going twice as fast!

But what happens when the big printer that prints out boats hits a wave?

I though everyone had realized by now that they have went back to the monks to do the printing rather than the printing press.

Who else wouldn't mind seeing a "How Its Made" for X-Wing miniatures?

Now I'm imagining a buddhist monk painting y-wings to make some worldly possessions.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christ-mas....

The last thing I want is for my X-Wing miniatures to be hijacked by a bunch of **** dirty Moloids.

I don't think we want to see the labor conditions/child labor/etc. There is a reason China is cheap.

I've heard that FFG tries to use factories with decent working conditions, actually. Perhaps just decent for China? I don't know exactly.

I don't think there will be another "Epic" delay this time for the Gozanti. I think it'll be out in early December. I love all the data in this post, though!

^The Gozanti's already on a boat, remember.

X-Wing's last wave.

I dunno man. Hypertubes are cool and all, but at that angle, you're basically passing through molten rock. I don't think any enduring structures can be maintained at that temperature.

Nor, for that matter, any padawans.

Hopefully it has actually been at the printer for some time and is just now being updated. If not it could be months before we get any wave 8 previews.

At most two weeks unless FFG gave out wrong information during the biggest trade fair in the business.

All hail the great printer!

Gozanti should definitely be out by Christmas.

Wrong is a harsh word. They gave the best estimate they had at the time. Even if the wave arrives in February it still matches the information they gave at that trade fair. The ships can't be called late until q2 2016.

Well they still have this little gem at the bottom of the Wave 8 Preview Article:

The starship expansions of X-Wing Wave VIII are scheduled to arrive at retailers in the fourth quarter of 2015!

https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2015/7/31/xwing-out-of-hiding/

so I'm still calling late as of January the 1st!

Did you every think that maybe they will get here before the movie...just saying...we are talking about Disney here people not FFG...Disney wants to make that paper...just saying...

I don't disagree at all conceptually or with Disney's marketing might, but there are no TFA ships - other than the TIE/FO and T70 - in Wave 8 so I don't know if they will have quite the same rush as if they were ALL in TFA...

Yes....but now with Disney holding all the rights to said items...we all know how Disney works...

With or without new movie ships...I want my xwing now...money for nothing and my ships aren't free...

My guess would be that The All-Powerful Mouse would want as much product to drop pre-Christmas and pre-TFA release as possible. My guess would be early to mid December.

That's what I'm thinking... I know for a fact...(living 45mins from Disney)... They are not going to let the biggest day in Star Wars history just go by without Items for us loyal fans to enjoy...

the biggest day in Star Wars history

ESB original theatrical version isn't being re-released in December.
