The real question is, do the Imperials use the metric system?
We use whatever system we want, when we want to. If you don't like it, there's the spice mines of Kessel.

I think they may be waiting on world's. . . It would make sense to me. Have everyone still focused on world's and live stream it and then right afterwards drop wave 2 with the influx of X-Wing players having watched the Armada stream.
Someone going to world's, bring your ISD or MC80 and just place it on the table! Use it to grab attention!
I doubt they would wait on World's to release it. Any hype generated at worlds will benefit the game regardless of release date. Probably even be better to have it out and available to facilitate impulse purchases.
I want to see some Xwing top8 player have an ISD on the side of the field... just waiting on the emperor's command.
And if the opponent gets close, good naturedly bring out the armada dice and roll.
blue black, anti sq, range close: aim, hit crit (canceld)
xwing player: HUH?
All right, I do have time though to make some overtime to get all the WAVE II in one shot !
First, time's gonna past more faster.
Second, more money to get everything at the first time.
Can't wait to see the new dynamics of every new ships with the "old" ones ![]()
I've watch vids on youtube about the new cards and upgrades. Very interesting.
Here's the link I've been watching : This link leads to the others.
We use a mixture of everything. We're still Americans, so weight tends to stay Imperial. You'll see the occasion measurement in grams, though, mainly when working with coalition partners. After all, we have to be able to understand what they're telling us. Aviation also remain mainly in feet, but that's because worldwide aviation in general uses that system. Maps and distance are the biggest thing. We talk almost exclusively in meters when it comes to ground movement and targets. Maps at the tactical level have 1km square grid squares.
Oh yeah - a click is a kilometre, right?

You got it.
The real question is, do the Imperials use the metric system?
Contractors working on Imperial projects are left to use whichever system they feel comfortable with, although this has been know to cause problems.
Take the Death Star for example: One contractor used metric and made the exhaust ports 2 metres wide, whilst the contractor in charge of the exhaust port shielding only made the shielding suitable for an exhaust port 2 inches wide. This incompatibility resulted in the shielding being left off with the expectation that the correct size of shielding would be added later, but instead the Death Star was destroyed before the new shielding was ready.

whatever date it is, I guess in Europe we have to wait even longer for the English version. No Sullust, no nothing, its about time really.
Looking at the fleet builders, this will be a whole new game now with wave 2. We will be occupied for a long time, thankfully, but I am not afraid to ask for Tie Defenders and Interdictors already - without opening a superfluous wave three wish list thread. Those just belong to a Star Wars fleet battle game. imho.
I want them to make the galaxy gun so I can participate in games back home in Britain while I'm in China.
Apologies for the superfluous wish. I have run out of little spaceships to paint.
Do we have a Newt date yet?
No 'Newt' date yet, but I should be getting it soon.
Someone also posted in here that US distributors have the product in hand: not that I'm aware.
Also, if distributors have product they must wait until the ship/ street date of the product before they can release it. For example; if wave 2 were to release on the 20th then the distributor has to wait until that date to ship the product as that is the date they are allowed to. Breaking shipping/ street dates runs the distributor the risk of losing suppliers. It varies company to company.

As of today at 10:18 AM CST, Wave 2 has been "On the Boat" for six weeks.
I am looking forward to the ships, but also frustrated that we'll have to wait another 2 to 4 weeks (most likely 4), based on feed back from some sellers, to see them!

I know. It's ridiculous. They ran Massing at Sullust to increase interest in a wave of ships that hasn't launched well over a MONTH after the event. It's silly and frustrating.
Yeah the more we wait, the more the Sullust event looks like a joke: "we have everything finished, come and see it at the event" and then for an entire month there is radio silence on the actual release. I really hope this will be fixed for the next waves.

How is this any different than any previous release for Armada or X-Wing? The Upcoming page states On the Boat usually takes four to six weeks.
grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference.
Just relax
Just relax
Yeah, but it wouldn't be an FFG release without people getting their panties in a twist.

The sad thing is I realised the irony in my post after I hit submit. Why should I care if someone on the internet is impatient? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That they had an event with everything already ready 1 month ago?

FFG has had stuff at GenCon a month or more before general releases. Relax.

look up last year's Assault at Imdaar for X-Wing, a full month before X-Wing wave 4 was available

The big difference to me is that X-Wing had three other waves to add variety. Right now we're just waiting on the second wave. It looks like it's actually killing some people!

Good.
More Wave 2 for the patient ones then.
