Yeah frustrating a loyal player base is never a great idea, but from what I heard it was due to "Unavoidable manufacturing delays", in other words it was most definitely not planned this way. I have worked in manufacturing before and I know that sometimes s*** happens, like you can design: all good, prototype: all good, produce tooling: all good, hit GO: "OMFG huge problem we didn't foresee shut it down omfg"

I think where they are falling down is in the communications department, unavoidable manufacturing delays are unavoidable but no updates to your fan base is CERTAINLY avoidable and might be where the frustration arises.

I just hope wave 3 wont take as long. Im still surprised they havent announced a slew of ep7+ ships.They really would miss a great marketing opportunity if they dont have ep7 stuff when the movie hits. Probably already too late, unless they announce soon.

If wave 3 is episode 7 ships (which seems like a reasonable guess) I would imagine they'd announce it after episode 7 begins screening (within a week of opening night, I'd imagine) rather than beforehand.

true, I mean, they could easily release a fighter pack with the new ties and x-wings and/or any special characters from the film.

but tbh there is still SOOO much they can release that is already existing in some form in the SW universe and easier to balance into the meta.

I'm sure they are already pretty deep into the pre-production of wave 3

As an Australian Living in Canada, I can say, Most of the time they do... But being Polite Canadians, they often automatically translate for those Down South.

I hope they give us a chance to play with the new stuff before showing us new shinies. And said shinies should NOT take as long to roll out once shown. This might have been a good time for them to pop out some items that take less lead time. Like a card pack.....

Without paint, I don't think you'd be able to tell the new TIEs from the old at Armada size (though new cards, of course). Come to think of it, I wonder how neat they'll be able to make the wings on the T70s at that size.

I wouldn't be shocked if it turns out they do have some Force Awakens stuff on the way (maybe at the same stage as Wave 2) and they just want to surprise us with it!

Distributors have been complaining that they have them but can't release them. Not that it means we will get it anytime soon. That's just their response when asked for a ship date. Shrug
