Hi All,

Knowing my opponent will be fielding a rebel list, I was hoping to get some thoughts on this list;

Vader + title, AHM, EU, ATC = 37pts

Maarek + title, AHM, VI, AC = 31pts

Rhymer + AHM, EM, VI = 32pts

Any criticism would be greatly appreciated!

I can never seem to have 3 Imp ships live long, though. I just haven't learned how to fly them.

I tried a similar list to this but my dice hated me and I rolled 0/12 green dice (blank, not even a focus) and lost both advanced in the first round of shooting. That was a bit of a fluke and I have not had a chance to try it again.

Rhymer with AHM is pretty awsome though. He has always killed 2+ ships every time I have fielded him. I usually run him with AHM X2 though, with his shooting them at range 3, he will hang back and unleash while the rest mix it up.

Doesn't Maarek not make sense with accuracy corrector, considering it DOESN'T give him the crits he wants? Might want to see if another Advanced pilot could fit (though I don't recall their point costs off hand).

If you could throw a cheaper Advanced in there, you could give Rhymer PTL. Rhymer with PTL and AHM is a MONSTER. I won't run him in casual games because he removes ships off the board too fast to be fun for my opponent, but this will be one of my considerations for a 2016 tourney list. If your opponent ignores a Rhymer that can Focus and TL in a single turn, they're in for a LOT of pain. If they focus on Rhymer right away, your Advanced can flank them hard (I sometimes try and fit Soontir in the list instead of the second Advanced, but it depends on my mood).

EDIT: I'm thinking of Advanced Proton Torpedoes, my bad. I took a gander through my list and it was Maarek kitted out w/ ATC, Rhymer loaded with a APT & EM, and Carnor Jax in to make sure Rhymer and Maarek can get their hits through.

... I've been working Vader into a bunch of my OTHER lists, so got confused...

I like the way the AHMs work with the ATC but honestly I think Vader and Maarek would both benefit more from PRockets. Just a Focus to fire a single 5-dice attack over doing a single Crit might be more advantageous when Rhymer has a pair of Range 1-3 AHMs at his disposal.

I would also want to squeeze in an EPT on Vader but I'm not sure how to do so! Without changing the pilots around, anyway (sorry Stele, but you'd probably get dropped to Alozen or Colzet). I guess you could drop the EU from Vader to free up some points but it just works so well on him I can't commit to that recommendation.

This. Maarek absolutely needs ATC.

I always, always, always run Maarek with ATC and Predator. He doesn't get Vaders double actions, so he really needs the boost. If nothing else, it means he can still get re-rolls and use his action on some turns to Focus or Evade. I'd drop the missiles from Vader to get Maarek ATC and upgrade him to Predator from VI.

And while I love AHMs on Maarek, I'd almost want to consider giving Rhymer a second set of em. I'd also love to get PTL+Ion MkII on Rhymer, but that would almost certainly mean dropping Vader or dropping Vader's EU, neither of which seems super exciting.
