I'm not going to disagree with anything you said here, because it's all accurate. I'll just point out I used words like "sometimes" on purpose. I was more demonstrating it's not a 100% cut and dry thing, that there are occasions when it can happen. The frequency of the stars aligning is really up to the GM and the setting/plot surrounding the characters.
