What are some good accessories for X-Wing and where does one get them?

Well the title pretty much speaks for itself. I know that a good laser level is a very useful accessory to get, but Lowe's & HomeDepot carry them for $15 and they're kind of bulky. Does anyone know of a good place to get smaller and hopefully cheaper ones? My friend made one out of a $1 pointer laser and a small lens, but it only lasted about 2 weeks before coming apart.

And while we're talking about handy accessories, are there any others that you find convenient? Like good apps or other tools? I know there are some Squad Builder apps, but I don't have a smartphone.

harbor freight table saw laser guide $5.

Best accessory I've bought: A tournament box. Just get your favorite Plano/Blackanddecker/whichever box that isn't designed to bring along your whole collection, and transfer in the stuff you need for an evening of x-wing. MUCH better than carting it ALL around!

Those "really useful boxes" are actually pretty useful... I have one that holds a single squad in as minimal a space as possible.

The good old $5 Harbor Freight laser line generator.

Plano 1374 huge case.

Blue print/art tube with the telescoping length for your mat.

The record player with the long spindle that you can put multiple records on that automatically drops the next record down and plays it.

Boxsets of records with side 1 and side 14 on the other side and so on so you can play half the set at once with one of those players.

Dice tray.

Movement tray that you can throw your list onto. Some guy laser cuts and laser etches them on ebay for ~$30.

Acrylic range rulers and template sets. Theyre super durable, dont bend, and the printing doesn't wear off with repeated use. I'd reccomend Greenman designs templates myself.

Wooden, magnetized epic range ruler made by your partner, obviously...

Army painter has a small laser called the target lock (you'll have to find where they sell them in your part of the world). Here's some other idea's though it might be easier to make some of these yourself or find someone who's good at making stuff.

  1. Hand made custom fold up x-wing gaming table. (can be in the shape of scale star destroyer if desired)
  2. 3d asteroids, debris, bombs and other mission tokens.
  3. Some sort of mat for playing on.
  4. I like to use this squad builder.
  5. Magnets for your ships.
  6. Co-op rules.
  7. Revell Sith infiltrator (Its very close to x-wing scale) as well as other custom ships.
  8. Tie pilot flightsuit. (Not a "costume")
  9. A good case for storage and one for moving your squads around (like others have mentioned).
  10. Paints, Airbrushes, Hobby tools and Printable decal paper for your repaints/mods.

That's about all the stuff i like to use.
