There have been two examples of this pop up in the last 24 hours (firespray and Khiraxz)
What gives? You guys know it's no different than your main guns, right?

Some pilots could interact with secondary weapons specifically, such as the TIE bomber that allows re-rolls to friendly ships. That's pretty much the only thing I could think of from the top of my head, and would still be a massive waste of points.
As the card states you roll additional attack dice based on your agility.... so some pilots can roll 3 additional attack dice.
Great secondary upgrade.
Edit: i see your point now, but its nice to use when u have no targey lock and then still use your focus token for defense.
Edited by dewbie420While you have a point, I don't think this needed it's own thread.
Yes, I know. I forgot it was range 1 only.
Well if you have a 3 attack and 2 evade. It is 1 extra dice. Could be useful on Dash to cover donut, or even a basic ship to have a chance at damaging phantom or some other high agility guy. 4 dice is still better then 3 dice. But I agree it is a alot of points for a little boost.
I even try to dissuade Prockets on Advanced with ATC, one extra dice on one attack not worth the cost IMO.

One extra dice plus a reroll on all of them thanks to the TL you have up from ATC in early rounds. 3 dice + auto crit + focus is significantly less reliable than 5 dice + TL + focus.
It's because the ATC has target locks knocking around most of the time why I think it's the BEST ship to slap prockets on!

This is my point. It's not a boost. It's the exact same as your regular range one attack. Only you spent three points for it

The posts in this thread seem to disagree.
Not sure. Some people really just want to run munitions I guess. Prockets I don't get, ion/flechette for control is still only a big maybe.
Yeah kind of a weird build. Outside of some specific pilot abilities, it appears to be all disadvantage.
If I had 3 pts to burn and an open missile slot on a firespray or K, I would go with Ion Pulse or Adv Homers depending on the squad. Both of them offer a much bigger advantage for the same cost but even then its situational.
I thought prockets were supposed to live on Defenders and maybe scyks if you wanted to pay 5 points for them.
Bombers with SD just don't seem to be that effective, they will probably be hit before the prockets can get fired.
Vader used to love prockets, is that still true?
On a Firespray, you could use Countermeasures for an extra attack die.
R1 only on both of those ships is all downside. People probably forgot it is only R1

What does? You want another tlt thread?
Doesn't Prokets have a primary attack value of 2 + agility. So on a Firespray you would only be rolling 4 dice at range one with Prokets not 5. Or am I missing something.
Explain to them their politely their error and a better option. Its apart of the game ![]()

Except it's Range 1 only. At Range 1, your 3 Primary weapon attack is ALSO 4 dice.

Technically, any ship with less than 3 Agility could take Stealth Device for an extra attack die with Proton Rockets.
Not a 3 attack ship, but the YT-2400 is a possibility if you are using the Donut Hole Outrider + Heavy Laser Canon - this way you actually get some use out of it. Combine it with Countermeasures and you've got a really cool (Albeit expensive) setup.
Edited by CrabbokI sometimes run Proton Rockets on Vader. 5 shots at range 1 instead of 3 plus I'll usually have a Target Lock (plus Vader's focus needed to use the Rockets) for re-rolls. That said it seems pointless for 2 Agility ships with 3 Firepower. 2+2(Agility) shots on Proton Rockets or 3+1(Range Combat Bonus) shots on your Primary Weapon. It is just a waste of 3 points.
Well atleast they didn't put it on a Falcon or Hounds Tooth.
WOOT 3 red dice at Range 1! ![]()
Has anyone ever put Assault Missiles on a Falcon to counter swarms?

That kind of means your flying head on at them where you don't want to be, the idea is to make it hard for the swarm to catch you in arc not serve yourself up on a platter.

Aw, but that means the missile slot will never be used! Poor PWT missile slot. At least he Z-95 is there for all you missiles.

I think it's more so that falcon builds typically can't spare the 5 points.
Also swarms aren't really a thing in the meta anymore.
