I'd have put money on an X-Wing based aces pack before we found out that Integrated Astromech was A Thing.

A Scyk/StarViper Scum aces pack seems like a possibility. A SEXY possibility!

Keeping with the recent trend, I'll guess new mats with ds2 and tansari station on them.

But I want more Defender/Scyk options to make them properly viable.

The third Ace pack, this time for Scum is a possibilty. I would also bet on Star Viper/M3A. It could either be a catch up release for Scum or part of an entire ace "wave", with fixes for the Defender and T-65. The second Rebel ship would probably be a Y-Wing with some Elite slot pilots. For the second Imperial ship I have no idea. Maybe a Bomber, that could also benefit from a Missile that helps the Defender.

This is a possibility, as the Gozanti is not that far off now, surely. In fact, could there potentially be a Gozanti pre-release at Worlds? (didn't something similar happen with the YT2400/Decimator last year?)

The big thing they are announcing this year is changes in Official Play. So, that will be the big news out of the weekend.

I am in the camp that we will see how Worlds 2016 will run there. Beyond that, MAYBE the carrier but I think we still have some time to wait there. Maybe they give us a little more on Wave 8?

The most likely info on Wave 8 will be whether or not they have the prototypes painted or not.

Yes. They will probably announced the schedule by Friday.

I can't really see the worlds as a great place to announce anything - though I do expect a few rumors of the "I heard this from a designer/insider" variety -- most of which will just be made up - but that's me, I'm a pessimist.

I would love if they somehow did a Wave 8 pre release like they did at Nationals, but that's probably not going to happen. But if it did, that would be one sweet surprise.

-I'd really like to see a game (youtube, vassal, trip to germany and let's throw some dice) where a list relying heavily on generic scyks or vipers does fine against something we all see as competative.

-you got a list you want to share? like I said: it really like to view them as playable.

a pal of mine really likes his scyks (and flies well with conventional lists, so..) and tries them in varying lists. they all (minus the occasions I really effed up my flying) died to any lists I build for tournament-use - and not because I'm a better pilot than him.

Xizor and 5 Pirates did place well in a few tournaments. He is easily one of the most underrated pilots of the game. His problem is that he isn't obviously "unfair" like Soontir with his PTL combo ability, so people overlook him. Another problem is crit vulnerability and that he doesn't specificaly counter anyone.

Guri is a nightmare for TLT users. When there is a meta with lots of TLTs, she is top notch. Versus other popular things like 2 aces + shuttle she is however in danger of being a 40 point blocker, making her a very specific gamble for tournaments.

In a non tournament setting both are excellent.
