I must admit that initially I had been underwhelmed by the ships in Wave 8 and was only really interested in Punishing One to further round out my Scum fleet but, having recently started watching Rebels I'm a little more interested now in the Ghost than I was prior to watching the show and I was just curious which ship my fellow X-Wingnauts were going to pilot first?
Edited by BojanglezWhich Wave 8 Ship are you looking forward to playing the most?
Mist Hunter should be pretty awesome.
Dengar is going to be hilarious.
The others, I guess we'll see.
Kind of worried about the rebel Phantom; while I don't want it overpriced a 3-attack-with-a-turret could be dangerous if they price it too aggressively, and while I'm OK with it as an 'occasional' element of non-Ghost squads... I'd cringe if spamming the thing becomes A Thing.
Personally I'm looking to see if the Ghost and Phantom can make a list by themselves. If not, I'll still play them and fill any remaining points with Phoenix Squad...err, Prototype A-Wings.
I've been interested in a single-ship list since I got into te game. Plus I have a kid, so I even have the commercials from Rebels memorized. Looking forward to Ghost.
Ghost/Phanton, not as much the TAP. The two new S&V ships don't hold my interest at all, at the moment. This may change when we start getting some new preview articles (HINT, HINT, FFG).
Gozanti.
Ghost, easily the Ghost. I have a T-70 already and am looking forward to more of those but I really dig the way the Ghost looks and how I think it will fly.
I'm very much looking forward to flying the Ghost. It will probably be my first purchase in the wave... depending on available funds. And finally pull me from my almost 100% running of Imperials at events.
The other one I'm looking forward to is the TAP. The Inquisitor alone looks like he'll be a lot of fun, and will be another hard target to ignore.
Scum is getting fun ships, but I don't fly Scum just yet, so I can safely wait on them.
Yup, yup, the Ghost really seems to have a lot of potential - very much looking to seeing the full impact of what looks like potentially the first 100-point ship in the game.
Do folks really thing a single ship would work? Especially the Ghost, with not-terribly-high hull and 0 natural evade?
Or is it just for the lulz?
That may largely depend on its dial, but I imagine there may be more than a bit of trolling planned.

mostly for the fun of trying it. I get the inherent flaws of the ship but am interested what could be done via upgrades to bring out the best in it - not expecting to win any tournaments with it but would be fun to fly a ship with a LOT of tricks up it's sleeve. Very Star Wars-y ![]()
The two S&V ships intrigue me especially Dengar's flying toilet seat. If it truly does have an asymmetric dial, how radical is it? Or is it just a minor variation? This is the one I want to try out.
I'm not that keen on the look of any of the Wave VIII ships, and I generally like to use ships I like the look of. The Ghost looks like it might be a good deal just for the amount of extras in the box. But I think there's other ships I'd be buying first.
Ghost. All the large Rebel ships so far are primary turret beasts, so the Ghost gives me an opportunity to try flying something different, and at 40 points for the most expensive pilot it's actually pretty affordable. Also, I love Crew upgrades and the Ghost will come with a TON of them.
Mist Hunter all the way. I don"t know what it will fly like. I don"t know if tractor beams will even be decent. I don't care. It shall be amazing. AMAZING.
Ghost hands down!
TIE Advanced Prototype. A cheaper Imperial Ace (as well as Autothrusters!) that will be able to slip into Phantom Ace lists and allow you to take a full suite of upgrades. Should slip in nicely as a replacement for Vader in Palpmobile lists.

The inquisitor with PTL & AT comes in at 30 points, for a PS8 Ship with no evade action I sadly just don't see it being top tier unless there is some unknown additional upgrade that will make it in the same league as soontir Vader or even Carnor

Absolutely THIS!
The Mist Hunter is intriguing, but it really depends on what the tractor beam does. I'll be really interested to fly some Tie/FOs once I get my hands on Comm Relay.
