The GUN is an imperial B-Wing/X-Wing hybrid. The MIS is an A-Wing/TIE Punisher hybrid, and the TIE/ad "Avenger" sits directly between the TIE Advanced x1 and the TIE Defender, in the lore. If they were ever to make an Avenger, I would just give it advancecd cards and an Avenger Title, adding one attack die.

I wouldn't. If only because the Advanced's dial is woefully unsuited to representing the Avenger's extreme maneuverability.

Still ugly, and I think after the TAP FFG is unlikely to make a THIRD Advanced.

Now that you mention it, the T-Roll actually does give it a functional niche of sorts.

Similar dial than the T/D but with white talon-rolls instead of koiogran, and boost instead of barrel roll.

At a cost slightly under the T/D generic (overcosted), then with a "fix" for both itself and the Defender.

I think there is plenty of design space for it if the devs just let their imagination fly.
