Can you use two brace tokens while defending?

By Catalyst55, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hello,

I know the instructions say I can use multiple defense tokens, but this one I'm a little unsure.

Let's just say for example a nebulon b frigate was attacked in the full hull with no shields. The total attack is 6 normal damage. Is it possible to use a brace defense token that halves the damage then use another brace that halves it again then round up to 2?

I think you are allowed to use the all your defense tokens on an attack, just not the same one twice. I don't see why this wouldn't be allowed, but I thought halving the damage twice was different.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks!

You may use Multiple Defense Tokens, however, you may not use more than one of the same defense token...

Page 4, Rules Reference, Defense Tokens:

• The defender cannot spend more than one defense token of each type per attack.

• A defense token cannot be spent more than once during an attack.

So not only can you not spend 2 Brace Tokens... You are not allowed to spend a Brace Token Twice (taking it from Readied, to Exhausted, to Discarded ) on a Single attack, Either... Which I think you were already on top of... But definately, can't spend 2 braces on one attack.

This gives the Nebulon B redundancy , which means it can brace up to four attacks a Turn with its tokens... But that's it.

Hope that settles the question for you :D

I tell new people that they can use 1 of each type of defense token. Usually sorts things out

Wow... I don't know how I missed that rule. I guess I wasn't reading carefully.

I was playing wrong because i was using multiple of the same defense tokens. One such example was an attack on a corvette I used the two separate evade tokens to fend off it off. clearly that's wrong. Only one of each type of defense token. Got it!

Thanks for the help!
