Have really enjoyed this podcast.

Keep up the good work!

Richard should be a full time member at this point. Love the show lineup. Very knowledgable crew in this one.

Can't wait!

Hey- my game made the flight deck.

I played Paul first round at worlds collide. Time was called with nothing destroyed. Then I fell to pieces on that last turn.

planning to listen to it on my ride home from work

Its good food for thought getting ready for Worlds.

The whole Tusken raider gag was a bit much otherwise pretty good episode. Like the discussion.

I really like Kris' discussion of occupying the center vs Palp+2. That seems like a useful way to engage that list.

Did Paul say his Poe had R2-D2? I'm curious his thoughts on that versus R5-P9.

8 rounds. Worlds is 8 rounds with an hour break on there.

Jo Jo -> If you knew Neil, you'd get it. It was supposed to be a gag, I loved it and its for a good cause so... I was happy to help.

Alex W -> Yeah, that leaked out after we recorded the news. What a grueling day that is going to be. By game 8 I'll flip a coin just so I can sit down and rest...lol...

My un-expert 2 cents on the Worlds winning list: If Palp+2 wins, it will be Vader and Jax, both with VI. It totally owns the mirror match, and it's strong against beef in ways that Soontir isn't.

You can do:

OGP, Palpatine for 29 points

Jax, VI, Autothrusters, Hull Upgrade for 32 points

Vader, VI, ATC, EU for 35 points

That leaves you 4 points, and no real need for an Initiative bid. You could do Sensor Jammer on the shuttle, a missile on Vader, hell, EU on the shuttle.

I have done something with those 4 points that I don't think others will do, but it will be a big deal come next week, i think.

Nice thing is that it means that all X-1s should get in and if any x-2 gets in, they'll be at the top of a long list.

Doug -> II am pulling for you man!

SSo you think I should run my competitive squad instead of my fun one? Ok. I'll save the fun one for my game with Neil.

Did Paul say his Poe had R2-D2? I'm curious his thoughts on that versus R5-P9.

I've been running a similar build of Poe w/ R2-D2. R2-D2 is less married to the focus action, which sometimes you can't do(stressed or blocked) or don't want to do(boost for arc dodging, actually wanting to spend the focus on something). For a 1 point difference, it buys a lot of flexibility.

I would be disappointed if you didn't bring the competitive one! Save room on the dance card for me BTW!

Still in the middle of listening to your podcast a bit at a time...

Doug, it was your scum swarm that beat my crack shot squad, but it is the same principle -- the remainder of your swarm was large enough after I fired off my crack shots and had enough tokens that I was having trouble getting anything through even your two agility Zs. I got knocked out of the GC by a 2TLT+IG 88 list (and a very good player in JeffFaulkner). I had five TIES left (including a couple of crack shots) against the 88 but only took three shields off of the IG by the end of the game. LW, ATs and Glitterstim (in the round it was used) canceled a handful of hits or made it so I didn't even consider crack shot.

As for the Empire, I'm also willing to bet that we'll see a decimator or two doing well.

I would really like to see a non-Emperor Decimator do well at worlds...

Do some of the points rhyme with scion projector?

You'll find out next week, but you're on the wrong track.

Somebody wants a PWT to do well at a major event?!?!

IT'S THE END OF TIMES!!!
