So someone here once told me to build the Armada community in Australia first before coming back to ask for a Massing of Sullust.

Through the combined efforts of me and a few others we've managed to link most of FLGS player bases that support Armada and are starting to get larger groups travel to each other's events just through Facebook alone.

We're looking a going to the next level and creating a Masters Series that spans over the year with a tournament round every 3 months, with the last event being the Masters!

Some ideas being thrown around at the moment:
- A novice event 1-2 weeks before the main event to drive new player interest. Free entry 180 pt lists, all models provided. We'll also run a side comp where veteran players can submit a fleet list for a newbie to run and if it wins they get free entry to the main event.
- Prizes have been supported by the host FLGS, in addition to FFG prize packs and our own FMS prizes including 6x4 playmats, medals and a series trophy prize at masters.
- Casting on table 1 (once we source some boom stands!)
- Running a pilot event before the end of 2015 to gauge effectiveness

Would love to get some feedback on what the FFG community thinks of this.

This is great, the idea of novice prep events with components and lists provided is especially good.

The announcement about the Flight Crew positions specified that it was US only.

You know what else might have driven interest in Armada? Hosting a Sullust event! Though I seem to recall they weren't happening in Australia...
