Developing List: One with everything OR Fourscum.

By Rakky Wistol, in X-Wing

I'll be playing this list Friday. I think it shows off the newest Scum toys pretty well to some newer players while still being moderately competitive vs. meta lists

N'Dru Suhlak — Z-95 Headhunter 17

Lone Wolf 2

Cluster Missiles 4

Glitterstim 2

Ship Total: 25

Syndicate Thug — Y-Wing 18

Twin Laser Turret 6

Unhinged Astromech 1

Ship Total: 25

Torkil Mux — HWK-290 19

Twin Laser Turret 6

Recon Specialist 3

Ship Total: 28

Cartel Marauder — Kihraxz Fighter 20

Glitterstim 2

Ship Total: 22

Torkil: ensures PS kill of something in the opening barrage. Ace insurance and phantom insurance...mostly. Protects N'dru from a Full PS kill. He'll die fast. Options: glitterstim, other turret, greedo.

N'dru: can almost one shot any ship in the game on perfect rolls; takes any ship to half or below with average rolls; threatens even the mighty brobots or cloaked phantom with sheer dice and modification abilities with proper positioning. Options: VI vs. lone wolf, hot shot vs. cluster

Thug: to BTLA or Not to B? With good flying and focus fire likely going towards Torkil or N'dru I kinda like locking it down and getting 3 shots a round. Unsure. Options: title? Unhinged?

Special K: a 20pt xwing with better durability for 1 round. It's just the donut filler. Options: what can you drop from elsewhere to get this up to an ace with crack shot?

Should be pretty self explanatory to run. You get rewarded for playing N'dru and the Thug well; you probably get rolled if you don't.

Struggles: VI brobots. Swarms with too many targets

Good enough: TLTs, Palp Mobile (I think), many 2 ship lists

Other thoughts on making it more than just semi-competitive? Where does it struggle? Where is it mean?

Oops...Wrong Forum.

Let me know, because I have been looking at a very similar list. I keep going back and forth on N'Dru vs Kaato. N'Dru really limits your options, you pretty much HAVE to split him off in order to justify his points, but your opponent will know that, and he is super easy to focus fire in one round.

IMHO don't use the BTL upgrade on the thug. I've used it before and only had it trip once or twice a game. I prefer a free turret to cover my backside after the initial pass. I like your other builds. Tomorrow night I'll be trying N'Dru with opportunist instead of LW. I want as many red dice as I can muster for the cluster attack. The rest of the build will be Mux with tlt a Y with tlt and fleshed out with a Z or two.

I'd take N'dru over Kaato pretty much every time. His obvious use is balanced well by his reliable damage from LW+ glitterstim.

I've heard a few people suggest opportunist for N'dru lately; he still shoots early enough that the opposition will still have tokens. Not sure that works on his favor.

Walked it through its paces a few times last night. Felt pretty good about set up and getting N'dru's barrage off successfully. I'll have to get some games with it in to feel the true mid-late game feel but it seems like it just wants to keep PS killing ships until Torkil drops. When will scum get a real defensive crew?

I'd look at dropping the Recon Specialist to promote the Kihraxz.

I challange this with the Rebel Sentai Team!

Rookiee Pilot with R2 and IA

Blue Squadron pilot

Green squdron pilot with Juke, PTL, and refit

Rebel Operative with TLT

Bandit squadron pilot

N'Dru with Opportunist doesn't seem like it will play nice with either Glitterstim or Cluster Missiles. You can't use it on the same round that you pop Glitterstim and can only use it on one of the two Cluster Missile attacks.

That's my first instinct too. Not sure if 2 modified TLT shots or a focus for defense beats out the crack shot and PS. I think Torkil dies first most games anyway so recon Specialist isn't really doing much to prevent that.

Agreed. Was hoping someone who does advocate for it to point out what I'm missing.
