Gaining stress before revealing a red

By FlightyBombJack, in X-Wing Rules Questions

They need to keep the punishment for double reds not only as a punishment and easy fox for the scenario when someone double reds, but also to provide an incentive to be careful when PtL'ing off of advanced sensors and BB-8.

Minor quibble, but it's actually impossible to unintentionally illegal red yourself with BB-8/PtL shenanigans, as a green maneuver is required to trigger them. ;)

Still possible with all the other ones mentioned in "Crazy Dracon espouses the 'Nope' Button", linked above.

BB-8 can't join in the reindeer games, sadly :)

The player with the red dial should remember that his opponent has a ship with a proximity mine that will be moving before his...

Thank you. It really is that simple.

Just to add my 2p worth .. I actually did encounter this situation when playing with the Rebel Transport over the weekend .. this thing hands out Stress for fun .. and moves / plays actions early @ Pilot skill 3 ... and with the Dutyfree Ship title it can hand stress to enemy ships at range 1-3 (its actually quite fun to see most of you opponents ships flying round with double stress !)

Granted not many people will be using an epic ship .. but just wanted to note that i've seen this situation happen.

In this instance (as I hadn't read this thread & it was a friendly game) i simply let them complete the red maneuver, but next time .. i'll be laying down the Law ! ;)

But don't epic ships move after all small/large ships? So the transport will move after all the fighters.

But don't epic ships move after all small/large ships?

They do, per the Huge Ship rules, the Huge Ship activation is after all Small and Large ships have activated.

Ohh .. missed that rather important part of the Huge Ships rules (Doh!)

Thanks for pointing that out :)

Thanks for pointing that out :)

No problem, it's something that is easy to miss.
