When placing the shadow soul with Faithful Friend (Shadowwalker skill), do you have to follow rules for line of sight?

If not, just to confirm, does the mean the soul could be placed behind/under a monster, door, or wall (within three spaces)?

Faithful Friend states the soul must be placed within 3 spaces of you. This means it uses the rule for counting spaces. This does not require line of sight, and you may place it on top of, or count spaces through monsters or heroes.

Please note however that you cannot count spaces through obstacles, walls, or doors.
