What to buy wave2 based on good lists?

Yes I agree. That 5G list is for trolling and not serious.

I think 2 Shrimps can work, but I'd rather only run one (at the moment).

The scout version is nice because some dice is better than no dice. At least on the approach you can fire something off.

I'm go into add to my MC80:

2x MC30 and 2x rogues and villains, to start with. I may get a third AFII - and just maybe a fourth Neb for the X17.

As a rebel player, are there any absolute must have cards in the Imperial wave 2 ships?

I dutifully put in my pre-orders: 1 ISD and two Raiders. Then I go and earn a Raider as TO and I win two ISDs. I ran a 2x ISD list, but I was having too much fun, and Lyraeus's Ackbar list chewed them up. But, you should'a seen them ISDs cruisin' at Speed 3! It was a sight to behold.

Anyway, here's my dilemma: Find out if a 3x ISD list is any good, or sell off the spare ISD still in the wrapping for MSRP-15%.

I'm pretty sure that I can find a use for a third Raider.

Did you have ecm on those isds?

What else did you bring?

GSDs are still frightening buggers, but yeah they die pretty quick even without wave 2 ships. A TLRC CR-90 and Salvation make real quick work of them, not to mention Yavaris Bs one-rounding them.

Going to require for skillful flying than just barreling into close range of the enemy

I'd have to say straight up "no" (Especially Quad lasers, which I rate as "pure ****")

Tactical expert is ISD only, as is Ruthless Strategists.

I think I can live without tactical expert and ruthless strategist. I'll probably end user getting an ISD, just because ;)

So what is a good wave 1 buy list? For ×-wing I always purchased what ever amount made 100 points. And yes I have flown 4 space cows in a game!! Thinking of doing simular for armada. Being retired with daughter on full scholarship has greatly helped my gaming purchase ability.

I would err on the smaller side of these. As I've found it kind of hard to use the extras. I've listed the exception builds here but you must actually like that build to care. Otherwise. They won't be used much.

3 guppies

1-2 VSD (though I've only ever felt need for one. Rhymer and VVGGG and VVG are the only real lists for that. ).

2-3 corv. Or up to 6 for 400 Akbar spam. Guppy 3 corv looks good for ackbar.

2 neb B (unless you actually play 3 or more. But you gotta like that style). Really Yavaris and salvation are good and good together. 2 is much better than 1 IMO.

3 gladiators. Gencon special. Gencon + fighters should still be good wave2. ISD 3glad should be good too. 4glads isn't useful.

1 of each squad pack: need a 5th bomber? Proxy it by using only 1 fighter per stand and approx the hp dial

Wave 2 IMO:

1 home one. (0 for me since I don't really want to play it. Not enough money)

1-2 ISD (3rd has no real list)

2 shrimps

2-3 raiders ISD 3 raiders allows for more upgrades and specialization. ISD 2raider glad demolished is more power.

1 RV. (others will want more. I don't )
