Punishing one boxart has been released
What are you referencing? All of Wave VIII has the boxes visible on the individual Product pages.
I do hope it is the Punishing One that gets previewed first
it is the single most exciting ship of Wave 8, imo, promising both the salvation of ordnance and a possible return to ruination if FFG turns it into yet another Fat Han clone.
that's all ignoring, of course, the deluge of options it brings to the scum faction as a whole (both in the ship and in the two new crew + more salvaged astros for the Ys)
Edited by ficklegreendiceI think the Punishing One has a solid chance of not repeating the Fat Han preference. The dial and Dengar will see to that, I think.
But as you referenced, the Jumpmaster as an R4/Torp boat will be very exciting too! Both the generic pilot and Dengar will have fun with that (and a pair of generics with no title should be relatively affordable as well).
It can't be a fat Han clone unless it has heavily defensive crew. Seems unlikely given who the crew is.

not to mention white sloop. and weird dial!

Scum could use some defensive crews. Or, not having that, some more offensive crew similar to K4.
if the defensive crew is arc-locked (like any good upgrade should be), then things won't be so bad and we can see more Firesprays and YV-666s popping around.
given Dengar's pilot ability, it'd be a nice jumping off point for his crew variant

white sloop's included in the "saving ordnance" bit ![]()
the build (deadeye, rec spec, r4 aggro + ordnance of choice) still needs a focus action to fire and ordnance is arc-locked (thank the force). That white sloop will come in really handy in that scenario
Anyone else point out yet that Dengar's pilot ability does not specify primary weapon. No reason you can't drop a torpedo on someone as return fire.
Also, deadeye, R4, and RecSpec could be an interesting but expensive way to fire fully modified torps on anyone in arc.
What do you mean the box art has been published? It's been on the punishing one's product page ever since they announced it.
It could be come with some defensive stuff....that Gonk droid and the three extra shield tokens make me raise an eyebrow.
im just hoping for Boba fett Crew to not be Scum Locked, but Rebel Banned, so that Imperial can use it. Have it be like Scum and imperial only.
I would argue that the Ghost is by FAR the most interesting wave 8 ship. It is likely to be the first ever Single ship build! That is huge! (No pun intended).
Still I like the way they did the Punishing One title. The Falcon should have been that way.
Edited by CrabbokI want to know what the Targ- C- modification does and the Targetting Astro. Very curious where the game is headed in terms of munitions.

It'll be last.
Every previous wave since Wave 4 has previewed ships in announcement article order, without fail. The preview order is very likely to be Ghost, TIE/v1, Mist Hunter, Punishing One.

Vader may be willing to consort with such untrustworthy filth, but no Imperial Navy commander worth his stripes would consent to letting that sort of bounty hunting scum ride one of their shuttles, let alone a Decimator, Raider, or Phantom.

It's not gonna be the crew thats defensive. It'll be the new agromech droid.

Can't see gonk being anything other than defensive and I'm betting he isn't an astromech.

Spoiler for a picture from the new movie:
I'm pretty sure that's Poe's astromech in the background. GONK!

So, even after a couple comments mentioning this, still no one has yet addressed what OP meant by "Punishing one boxart has been released"... Did he not realize we all have seen the boxes for all of Wave 8?

I'm betting "Targeting Chip" as some form of munitions upgrade. The astromech is likely "overclocked Aggromech"

I already do it with Kavil (minus the RecSpec, but a Proton Torpedo already have a natural focus to crit) and believe me, it is deadly.... and much cheaper.

The gonk there is not Poe's astromech, gonk droids are far too basic to serve as an astromech. They are basically just walking batteries. That gonk is probably refuelling or recharging Poe's X-wing, that's all.

You mean Horton? Cause kavil won't mod **** when you spend the lock to fire
The pogo, however, not only fully mods proton torps for cheap (just deadeye and r4; better than Horton because it can reroll focus) but can fire off fully nodded plasmas . that's better than HLC, full mods, no stress drawback and no waiting for FCS
That, and rec spec + r4 continue working even after expending torps
