Let's think outside the box people. What are some alternate builds for popular ships that are still surprisingly good. I'll start
The punchiest soontir in existence:
Marksmanship, experimental interface, autothrusters, title
This build for soontir trades a little bit of maneuverability and starting agility for increased attack. You can still turtle, with a marksmanship/evade/focus combo. The biggest downside is you can no longer boost and barrel roll in the same turn.
Next up, dash shoots first
Veteran instincts. Recon specialist, HLC, outrider, proton rockets
Dash trades his signature wiggliness for the ability to use the other half of his dial. Recon specialist keeps the hits coming while providing a little defensive boost, and the proton rockets can keep people second guessing your moves, as well as keeping your options open for delivering a kill shot.the barrel roll is still a strong way to back out of an arc if you don't like your approach. I've seen a friend strategically barrel roll onto an asteroid to avoid all fire and set up the next turn to his advantage. Don't underestimate how fast this thing can go when the whole dial is open.
So what are your favorite alt-builds?
