So I modified a frigate.....

You have justified a reason for getting another pair of NebBs

You know about the Cool Stuff Inc sale, right?

Honestly, I don't work for coolstuff....

I bought a neb, CR90 and VSD from a certain famous internet company, then waited, and waited, and waited.... the parcel disappeared. I asked them to track it down, but no-one could so they sent another one free. I went to pick it up at the parcel depot and they were like - "we have 2 parcels here for you". I had asked them at least 10 times, twice in person, the rest on the phone, and it was sitting there all along.

Not bad. those 6 ships at buy-1-get-1-free were probably a similar cost to the ones in that sale everyone is so excited about :P

Personal bonus sale!

I'm expecting mine soon for the 3rd quarter...if we're getting one. Sure hope so. Haha

Back on topic... Those are awesome! I've got one on order and plan on doing that to it. I don't have any paint, but maybe I'll see what my sharpies can do for me. Any advice on the actual hacking and gluing part?

None other than common sense, small blade, cutting away from you etc. The plastic is actually a lot tougher than I thought it would be. You can balance the Neb-B on the nose and cut close to the body, and the wing will come right off - with a fair amount of leaning on the blade.

Oh, if anyone is interested, the parts on Yvaris are the gun shields that come on the 40k Eldar heavy weapons sprue, and the square boxes are the ammo boxes from the same sprue. I've also used the bright lance ammo boxes from that one sprue too, to make auxiliary thrusters (engine techs) for my CR90B Dodonna's Pride.

Color me impressed!

So I found my donor ship...unintentionally. I'll have to try gluing something to the remainder in the base to remove it. Utility knife and tweezers didn't get it out.

The poles that support the hangar pods on my Yvaris are 2mm brass rod - if you are careful, you can drill a 1mm hole into the part of the frigate that meets the support, and the support itself, then insert 1mm brass rod and glue it in. My small ships are all glued to the stands, its still okay for transporting them.

Nice to see you sharpie the edges of the cardboard dials too. That light brown where black should be really offended me for some reason.

Where and how did you cut the NebB?

Where and how did you cut the NebB?

At the base of the 'wing' where it meets the fuselage. You can do it with a tough, sharp hobby knife. Balance the Neb-B on it's nose and push down with the knife slowly. Did it twice, easy both times.

Those 3 ships are exactly the kind of thing I would expect a desperate rebellion to field. I love it.
