Just started playing as Gideon in the campaign. Here's the question: he has a card that gives you 2 mp after resolving command, masterstroke allow you to resolve command (mobile tactician) twice. Is mobile tactician considered an ability, thus limiting it's effect to once per activation? Or does it trigger both times command is resolved, giving Gideon a full movement for free? If the latter, how do people dislike Gideon? Causes two friendly attacks, moves, and attacks all in one activation??? That's too good to be true!

Yes, that is how it works. If Gideon has Masterstroke and Mobile Tactician, he uses Command and gains 2 Movement Points. Then, before he can spend those Movement Points, he may utilize Masterstroke and Command again, gaining another 2 Movement Points. Then he may spend his 4 Movement Points, but he still has another action.
Typically, when I'm using him, that will mean picking up a crate... or straining twice and resting.
Still seems like he could do some okay attacks as well, already have a dl-44 he can use which will give decent damage output. Overall he could be great!
