Independence to fling the B wings forward, Raymus is just so useful on an MC80, engine tech's to get you out of trouble (maybe). 180 points is a lot to sink into one ship though! I'm not sure Home One is worth giving up though.

Objective suggestions would be appreciated too !

Precision Strike - Good synergy with your shield based defenses and Bomber squadrons.

Fleet Ambush - Get first crack at the enemy with your Bs and long range Red dice.

Dangerous Territory - Smash your MC80 through a thick rock screen, and hide the Bs in there too.

Drop the advanced projectors for ECM - going to be a lot more important now for keeping your guys alive. Id actually strip Engine Techs off the Mon Cal to make sure they fit.

Might even be better to gunny team the other AF2 than to have a defensive retrofit on it.

I absolutely, positively, would not give up Engine techs. They allow you so much tactical flexibility - and Raymus makes it so you only have to issue a nav command every other turn. A slow Mon Cal will get chased down by ISD's.

I agree you should equip your AF's the same way, either both with Gunnery Teams, or both with XI7's. Also agree that ECM is the way to go.

Advanced gunnery is a better objective than Precision Strike, I think. You don't have that many fighters, and it is entirely possible that an opposing squadron-heavy build will use your own mission more effectively than you. But no one wants to face an Advanced Gunnery Ackbar'd MC80. No one. If they do, you win.
