Does it still exist?
Fly casual...
Que yet another 20 page debate on the meaning.
Yes it does... At least where I play. If it doesn't exist for you, then be the change you want to see.
Nerds and Geeks love debates. Me I'm a geek. Nerds are smart.
I'm always pretty easy going about things. But I don't play a tournament scene. That's where the wheels come off. I get it 100%. If you're paying money and there are prizes or Regional/National/Worlds spots on the line then all's fair in love and war. But if it's a casual night or you're playing with your mates there's no reason to not let the odd thing slide.
Biggest one for me is if someone forgets an action just toss a focus. It's neutral and saves time. But like I say, casual environment.
It's like sports. If you're playing pickup football it's not like you're playing in the World Cup, so ease up. But people will be people.
Edited by CrawfskeezenI'd pretty much consider this a deliberate attempt at a troll post. There's multiple threads going on this very topic right now, pretty much all of which will end badly. Just like the other dozens of threads like this over the past 4 years.

I'm always casual. Arguing about something trivial is pointless. Wastes time. I like to play for fun. Even in tournaments. I may get irritated, but only at myself.
I swear I'm not a troll. I am not trolling. I apologize to everyone for this post. I have not seen a post like this. I am sorry.

The last time I got into one of these debates, things got heated up pretty quick.
I will say that "arguing about something trivial" is not synonymous with being competitive, nor is "play for fun" synonymous with casual play.
I play competitively, we hardly argue about trivial things, and we have a lot of fun. Mythbusters 2015 RIP.
The folks at my local game store are very interested in the meta, the minutiae of rules, list synergy, etc.. Having said that, every game is a casual affair, where we proxy, allow missed actions, and generally just try to make it so folks are having fun, instead of stressing out about playing a game. Shout out to the Phoenix comics group in Seattle, you guys are a fun lot.
... And crush the opposition!
Yeah, the fingerprints are way to obvious on this one...
Fly casual is something that is inside of you. If you bring fly casual play style to you group you can grow the idea in others that this is just a game after all and the main reason is to have fun. When you let others see the fly casual nature in you it will help them find it in themselves. Then they start to have as much fun as you
Yes it exists. /thread

Does it still exist?
Translation: Do you fly casual?
Answer.

Sorry, there are just so many ways to reply to this, it's great! ![]()

I like to think of geeks as nerds with social skills...
The definition of Fly Casual is
"I don't know! Fly casual!"
And thats from the OFFICIAL source
According to Webster's
"he pretended it was a casual meeting"
- a person who does something irregularly:
Well lately it seems most of my dial settings fit the above definitions. So yes it still exists.
THIS THREAD

says it all
Today I did a WAAC thing where my opponent measured with his PS 5 before PS 8. I did not allow him to fire with his PS 8 as he measured from his PS 5 first. Later I ended up forgetting to place a dial and one of my 4 Phantoms got flown onto an asteroid. We had a great game.
Yeah, where still around... oops, different conversation!
I fly so casual I don't even put ships on the board. Or attend the event. Or leave my house.

I can't tell if this is better or worse than Kaxel.
Greetings.
