Wave 2 is being dropped in my city (Toronto) in November, at least that's what all the stores are saying. Looking through my collection I'm thinking that to start I'll probably be buying one of each set of the Wave 2 ships (MC-80, MC-30, ISD and Raider) and the new squadron pack. I'm not big into the tournament scene, my playing mostly consists of me and a few friends but I'm the only one with any Armada (they supply other games) so I figure It will be good to round things out for my collection.

For the Empire I have 2 VSDs and 1 GDS. For the Rebels I have an AF mkII, 2 Nebulon-Bs and 3 CR-90s as well as 1 of both fighter expansions. As primarily an Imperial player a VSD and the Raider are a must for me as well as the new squadron pack. The MC-80 is also a huge boost to the Rebels and... Ackbar. But I'm failing to see what the MC-30 brings to the table that can't be filled by any other Rebel ships. I know many people are quite into it. I'm clearly missing something.

What are you all getting/already have?

black dice and those titles.... As well the upgrades. It fills an important point cost role as well in between the neb and AF 2. I have built so many fleets that need something right in between those ships. It adds a counter to demolisher other than yavaris

The scout frigate plus akbar makes a good close range deterrent sniper.
