I've been having fun trying out different ships that don't see alot of use in my meta. We are a non competative group, but we all enjoy putting up a good fight,

Major Rhymer

Idea is that the bomber hangs back and pops low hull ships with the missiles, getting early locks from the shuttle. Munition failsafe should help make sure everything gets though. He can hide behind the shuttle for some extra protection and captive will help agrivate people shooting at him. the TIE/fo's will block and help focus fire with the shuttle for other higher hull ships, who usuallt have lower agility.

Munitions failsafe doesn't work with extra munitions because the EM card states to discard the token when you fire, whereas the Mun. Failsafe card only works when you would discard the upgrade card. Also a 6 HP 2 AGI ship will not live long enough to shoot 4 APTs, even if he can shoot them from range 2.

It has been discussed that yes munitions failsafe does work with extra munitions. The wording does work between the two.

And Rhymer will allow the AHM to be used at range 1-3, not just 2 remember

I've tried Rhymer with AHM. Its a good combo, but the price is too steep. He doesn't last long either to concentrated fire.

Have you given any thought to dropping the ties to obsidians? With the points you save you could give Rhymer a hull upgrade, plus v.i. so he shoot at ps 9

That's a option, I kinda wanted the shields the fo's get.

YMMV, my last 3 games where I used the loaded Rhymer (different lists) he got off atleaset 3 of 4 and survived the match. Kinda where this list came from. I prob could drop failsafe and the jammer from the shuttle. Give an EPT to Rhymer.
