Introducing Armada Warlords: database and fleet builder

By Nevetz, in Star Wars: Armada

Some minor fixes:

- in the Upgrade database, multi-ship titles (i.e. 7th Fleet and Mon Cal Exodus are no longer annoyingly displayed multiple times)

- in the Upgrade database, you can sort by category for SSD and RitR cards (CC too, but there are no CC upgrades)

- added wave 8 (Starhawk + Onager SD) fully spoiled cards (i.e. Kyrsta Agate + Commander Beck)

Edited by Green Knight

It appears that Tua cannot be equipped to an SSD, at least not to an Executor II. There's nothing on the card text that makes me think it should be prevented.

It's in the SSD rules

Huge ship rule. Can't add upgrade slots.

@Drasnighta

If you try to put Tua on an SSD, there is a warning, and she cannot be added.

I cannot do anything about lists already saved (other than SQLing the db, which I won't, for reasons)

Happy?

... I am sorry I was the one who officially asked for the change, and it *was* tricky work for you... But at least we see there was reason to asking, right?

Point proven 😄

In no small part due to @Drasnighta 's request to prevent Tua from being added to SSD, I finally took the time to code in the rest of the size restriction checks.

You will now get an warning and be unable to equip the following cards to ships of incorrect size:

Bail + Pryce (Medium-Large only)

Hardened Bulkheads + SAdv (Large only)

DCaps (Small-Medium only)

Did I forget any?

Lol. Solution was bugged as f*ck. Need to look at it some more. But like winter, it IS coming :D

Hi there -- this is a question for @Green Knight :) : I picked up the Armada core box just a couple weeks ago and so am learning about the game as I pick up ships here and there. Is it possible to toggle component and ship display by user collection? It seems like it would be substantial work to add. But I use Tabletop Admiral for Legion, for example, and the availability of cards for builds is wholly dependent on the collection I tell it I have. The X-Wing app does the same (in a clunkier way if you own the Conversion Kits).

Thanks for considering!

It's possible, but I don't see it happening.

Fab's armada builder already has this functionality. Same with the Armada builder app.

Warlords isn't dead.

Spoiled w8 cards to be added as soon as if finish the draft for my WIP novel.

Put another way, hopefully later this week, by Dec 5th (my b-day) at the latest.

Warlords should now fully support* spoiled wave 8 content, including the new Superweapons

It's been a long time since I worked with the code (new Upgrade type), so I hope i didn't break anything...

If you find a bug or something that's missing, I would be very grateful if you post it here.

* only the standard builder; the compact builder does not (yet) support Superweapons

You now get the bonus slot from Harrow, Liberator, Vanguard.

BUT it's a dirty fix, so if you EDIT a list, anything in that bonus slot goes away and you have to add the title again to make it appear.

I'll fix it over the weekend.

Can you come up with a more permanent fix for this please?

If I one day wake up with nothing else to do 😀 It's not really my builder, so I try not to spend more time on it than I have to.

But you never know...

I had a massive OCD-attack.

The fix is now "more permanent."

Enjoy :D

OCD-spree continues:

I've added checks to prevent the following cards from going on wrong sized ships (you get a warning and the upgrade is removed):

  • Bail
  • DCaps
  • Hardened Bulkheads
  • Ord Porgs (pun)
  • Pryce
  • SAdv

I've tested it, and it looks legit. Let me know if I broke something.

To-do:

  • SHwk Mk 1-only Titles

I also added a warning when you add a Dual (Wpn Team + Off Retro) upgrade. The warning tells you to make sure you have a free offensive retro. It's a temporary solution. I'll try to think of something better.

The "Select Superweapon" icon does not yet exists. Instead you see a "Select Fleet Command" icon. Click it, and you get a list of Superweapons.

Three additional upgrades from the Onager have been added to Warlords.

Sorry about the quality, but these were taken from a picture of the German cards, and altered with English text. I take no responsibility for errors in translation, but I've tried to use Armada-ish language and punctuation, so it should be pretty much correct.

(why did I use 3 different fonts, you might ask, but there are no good answers to that)

Speaking of superweapons, it seems to be treating Magnite Crystal Tractor Beam Array as a modification (giving me a warning if I add a mod in another slot), but as far as I'm aware it's not a mod, just the Onager superweapons?

Flag Bridge doesn't add a Fleet Command slot. If you decide to wait for a clearer scan of the card, no problem as well.

Bug fixed.

Flag Bridge now adds a slot.

It does not, however, take it away if you remove the upgrade, nor does it check for size/flagship.

Will have to work on that later.

Corrected some points errors:

  • Reeva Demesne from 3 to 4
  • Sunder from 3 to 10

Other fixes:

  • Removed Ion slot from Onager testbed

Flag Bridge has been fixed, and should now work with all ships, and the Fleet Command is removed if you remove Flag Bridge.

Sorry for any inconvenience the Flag Bridge bug may have caused.
