Not sure what the article is talking about. They weren't combining any games, just making an x-wing scenario.
Unless the changed the rules they were going to use since they made the videos a few days ago, they also aren't using any altitude rules or anything like that.

Yeah... That article is wildly inaccurate. Really cool set up. If you watch all the videos, they are looking to play test it some time this week.
From the look of it, it's more of a single way run.
