Move and some general question

By HexNeck, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

One of my player chosen move as his power and now he want to make some dmg with it. The problem for me is I don't understand how it work.

Let's assume i have 3 Force points to spend and i have the entire Move Power Tree unlocked.

One of the control upgrades states that the Force User can hurl objects to damage targets by making a ranged combat check, dealing dmg = 10xsilhoutte.

Now i would go and use 1 FP to activate the power, 1 PF on strength (so silhouette 2) and 1 PF on magnitude. Now i can toss 4 stones on one guy and give him 40+40+40+40 dmg (one for every rock), or can I use the magnitude to choose more then one target so i would throw 4 rocks to 4 enemies? (the control upgrates state that you can damge targets so you can choose more then one). Would the soak value in the first example (4 rock) work for every rock? If I choose to target more then one enemy the check should be harder?

In the description of the upgrades (like strength upgrade and magnitude) it's say that you can activate it more then once. That mean if I have 4 FP can I use it to throw 4 rock on 4 enemies all on 4 silhouette? (I this case you have one strength activation and two magnitude) or do i have to have 7 FP to throw 4 rock on 4 S on 4 enemies?

That was some serius math. Now for the second question - one of my player want to kill some kinrath - but i can't find any stats for them. Am I blind or there is none. If there is none can someone help with some ideas? I read they have some kind of hive mind. What stats should the queen have?

Thanks for help! and sorry for my English - I did try my best :)

First, don't fee bad about not quite getting the Move power. Out of all the Force powers in the game, that one is probably the trickiest simply because of how easy it can be to abuse.

One thing that you may have overlooked is that the Strength Upgrade only affects the maximum Silhouette of the object you can affect, but does not directly affect the damage dealt.

So if you're throwing a Silhouette 0 rock, that's only going to do 5 damage (plus successes from the Discipline check) no matter how many Strength Upgrades you have. Similar deal if you're throwing a Silhouette 1 object (such as a large storage chest or a stormtrooper) but have bought all four Strength Upgrades; you're still only doing 10 damage as the base even if you can affect something up to Silhouette 4, since the damage is based upon what's actually being thrown.

As for activating upgrades multiple times, such as the case with Magnitude, you could in the instance you gave hurl up to 8 objects (all 4 Magnitude Upgrades purchased, then activated twice), either at a single target or several targets. However, this would be considered an autofire attack (as per the Control Upgrade to hurl objects) so needs to follow those rules, including the increase difficulty and needing to spend 2 Advantage for each hit past the first.

Of course, you'd still need to spend a Force Point to trigger those Range Upgrades if your intended target is past short range.

you’re right i missed the description. But still if you are throwing something of silhouette 4 you should do 40 dmg + the dmg from the test right? - the description says that you dealing dmg = 10xsilhoutte. I'm I right?

Thanks for the other tips - I really appreciate that!

Yes. Silhouette 4 is throwing the Millennium Falcon at someone, though, so it should be quite damaging. If you have four of those (or rocks of similar size) within range to throw at someone, they're in trouble.

thanks a lot - what about the kinrath can I find some information about them in the books? Cause i can't find any :(

If I'm remembering KotOR 1 correctly I'd call them silhouette 1. Beyond that find another creature that mechanically fits what you need then just call it a kinrath
