Movement dial upgrade kit picture.
Not too shabby... Not at all.
So posting the pic so that others don't have to click the link. Hope you don't mind.

But yeah I like these ideas. I think it is a nice solution for replacing the cardboard dials but not something expensive as going for full blown plastic dials. It looks like a nice well done middle of the road set up.
Pretty sweet, was kinda what I was expecting, very similar to Armada.
Looks photoshoped. I can tell by the pixels, and cuz they probably aren't really floating in space.
...looks good if real. Hope they aren't loose spinners. Awkward moment thinking you're revealing a green to clear stress and it's swung to a red.
I can dig it. Nice fix to Firespray/hwk/ywing/z dial sharing between factions. They found a way to fix it AND take more of our money.
Hmm... I'm not totally sure I like them... Plus they seem more bulky than their cardboard counterparts... And I already have storage problems...

Pretty sure you only need a couple of these, and can then store all your ship 'dials' as just their manouver card.
It's not much of a space saving, but you're halving their cardboard width and skipping their central toggles.
I'm actually liking these for the ease in selecting manoeuvres. Some of my dials ended up pretty stiff...
I'm also a fan that you can see all of a ships maneuvers at a glance. It's much easier to remember when looking at the big picture instead of one at a time.
So... Is the ship icon going to be an insert that comes with the kit or something?
I'm not sure I'm really sold. Your not going to disassemble it and replace the ship ID and the actual dial regularly, so your still going to need one of these for each ship you think you'll play. So, with imps for example, 6 for tie fighters, 2-3 for squints and advanceds, maybe 1-2 for each of bomber, phantom, defender and punisher, at least one each for the 3 large ships. So... More than 20 of them? Not sure that is worth it.
May be useful for spot repairs of dials that are wearing out instead of converting all the dials you want to use.
Might also work to make certain pilots special? Give your named aces the fancy dials and leave the generics normal.
Also opens up the possibility of custom paint job dials.
Oooh. I like these. I like these a LOT.

I could imagine myself buying enough for around 4 to 6 ships and only loading them up with dials when I'm heading to a tournament and expect to play the same list many times over.
Looks like you need the old cardboard back. I wonder how you are supposed to pull the original dials apart...
So much Star Wars goodness in one day...

Please be true. Please be true. Please be true.
Given my notion up above of using these for aces and leaving the generics cardboard, I wonder how difficult it will be to replace the ship ID sillouette with a picture of the pilot.
Alternately, if someone did replace basically all their dials with these, I wonder if you could add ID numbers to those windows to match dials to ID tombstones on the ship bases.
Another possible use... Custom dials for custom ships and pilots. Will we be able to create our own dials that will fit in these and have the right amount of tightness to be rotatable, but not loose?
Edited by ForgottenloreIf these are cheap, I'll buy 8 for each faction.

Who am I kidding, I'll do it regardless of the price.
ok FFG just know how to take all my money
I like them, but I am curious about the colors used: why isn't the scum one orange/yellow like the rest of the faction material? Seems like an odd choice to make them green...
That said, if true, I will also buy a few.
I expect that if true, each faction dial will come with a few cardboard punchouts like normal expansions, with dials for all the faction ships included (so that you don't need to remove an already assembled dial).

Have you looked at the back of a Scum dial lately?
I definitely won't be buying these. Don't see the point.
Meh, I prefer the regular dials.
Wow these are nice.
Finally a worthy replacement of battle-worn cup card dials!
Good move, FFG! Good move!
You have my money once again.
yeah having the ability to change the icon to a number sure would help to prevent dial mixups!! or an icon+a number would be really nice. I even like the colors they chose.. Now if they would make bases THOSE colors... and if battle foam would bring back the OD green 720s.....
