I'm trying to find some nice people to play with around my area - I live in Ventura County and don't mind driving ~30 min or so to a good spot. I'm very new, so a casual environment would be ideal at least for a little bit.

I replied to your Reddit post as well, but wanted to invite you and your brother to come play with the Santa Barbara Wargamers any time. We have an active group of X-Wing enthusiasts and a very relaxed attitude. We mainly play at the private residence of one of the members, in a nicely converted 2 car garage devoted solely to gaming. Really nice mix of people from a variety of age ranges.

I live in Ventura and have recently started playing the game with my wife and roommate. I believe Hypno Comics on Main street hosts a game every other Sunday with the next game happening this Sunday.
I am still fairly new but will probably watch their game this weekend if time permits and participate in the next tournament a few weeks down.
