Beginner rebel player with 2 core sets.

By Snowbank, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Hey all, me and my friend are putting together our core sets (ships only, we have access to all of the cards) to try and make some lists.

This is what I've done so far!

(298 of 300 pts)

Flagship: (91 pts)

  • Nebulon-B Escort Frigate(57 pts)
  • General Dodonna (20 pts)
  • Salvation (7 pts)
  • Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7 pts)

Fleet Ship 1: (58 pts)

  • CR90 Corvette B(39 pts)
  • Leia Organa (3 pts)
  • Engine Techs (8 pts)
  • Overload Pulse (8 pts)

Fleet Ship 2: (58 pts)

  • CR90 Corvette B(39 pts)
  • Tantive IV (3 pts)
  • Engine Techs (8 pts)
  • Overload Pulse (8 pts)

Squadrons (91 of 100 pts):

  • 7x X-Wing Squadron (91 pts)

My idea is to have the 2 Corvettes harassing/debuffing the enemy while my Nebulon has a more sniper-fit, aiming to deal a lot of damage from afar. I also have the Tantive IV and Leia cards to give Nav Tokens to my nebulon if need be to use the reroute circuits more and then the X-Wings just for support.

Comments/Critique/Advice, all is welcome! :D

I would dump the engine techs on the corvettes and a couple of x-wings to pop in yavaris (maybe upgrade one of the x-wings to Luke to get those crits straight through shields). I think 4-ship lists are pretty mean with the rebels and the extra forward firepower will be handy.

Unfortunately, Redemption is the only Nebulon-B Title available in the Core Set. So that isn't an option.

Playing with friends in a non-tournament environment so we're cool if we don't have the cards to still use them until our orders arrive. That sounds like a good idea though :D Having 4 ships could be insane.

Just to be clear, I saw that comment about proxying cards before commenting. I'm with you Drasnighta though, I hate when people ask for critiques and only get replies that involves making multiple purchases for stuff they don't have.

Following this I can get it to about 4 squads of X-Wings to get in the 4 ships and the 1 support neb with Yavaris but I feel like with less squadrons Yavaris wouldn't really be as useful?

Well, it only triggers on the squadrons that Yavaris activates (max 3 with a token), so as long as you have that many, you should be good. It'll take some practice to get used to, but my buddy's gotten pretty nasty with it (Luke dealt seven damage to a VSD with it in one game at Sullust)
