If you say mk 1, you must also say Dreadnought
Dreadnaught-class is a different ship.
This could be even cross-faction.

Here is a picture of my two AFmk1, I named the left one; Rebel Fist and the right one; Sang-Froid
Thanks has to go to Wes for suggesting the Valejo colors Green Grey and Stone Grey.
Perhaps these two colors should hence fourth be named
Assault Frigate Grey
and
Light Assault Frigate Grey
I'll just add my two cents in here, and say I'd love an Assault Frigate Mk I. I think they look a whole lot better than EAW's incomplete version.
Idk imo that one looks ugly to me. I am readying deflector shield for hate comments now!
Also I like the variant in this FU2 scene here. Also gladiator.
I expect we'll see them in short order. I wouldn't be surprised if they came in wave 3.
AFmkII: the reason I have 8 small ships for my rebs...
I didn't go anywhere near that many small ships, but I am totally with you there. Just waiting on my MC80, so I too can have a Rebel ship that can take and throw a punch.

Fair enough.
I hope we'll get the modified frigate too, at some point.
To play battles like THIS
I just wondering ... in the movies and in video game cutscenes most ships are plain grey - including the rebel ships. Looking at the Neb there and the one we got in Armada ... there is a bit of a difference to say at least. I wonder where this color scheme came from.
Edited by TheRealStarkillerWhen I first herd of this game this was one of the ships I wanted most. I loved this ship in Rebellion It was good at killing Star Destroyers and planetary shields. Please FFG make it happen
Rather the Mk I than Mk II.
Till today I still don't like the way she looks.
You don't like Guppies?
I rather like the RAF Mk.II, merely because I don't feel a shred of remorse or hesitation when slicing them to pieces like the potatoes they are.
But yes, I'd be thrilled if FFG released the MK.I! I mean, I might be a little fussy if they decided to release the MK.I Type VI (which seems to be a common enough depiction in Talon's artwork and EAW), instead of a similar looking Nebulon B2, but I could certainly live with that.
The guppy is like a floating metal blob in space. Worse still she's stubby and I have major issues against stubby looking ships

Tie Fighters in SW Rebels look stubby
My favorite Rebel ship. Why they went with the Mk-II before the Mk-I is beyond my compehension.
Honestly I never saw the point in creating the Mk-II rather then using the Mk-I for Empire t War to begin with
The mkII reminds me of Japanese gashapon super-deformed versions of otherwise proportionate characters/ships. Except in this case, someone didn't get the memo that chibi isn't supposed to mix with normal.
Re: grays everywhere, I remember reading on RPF that the way ILM gets anything to look star wars is to apply floquil white, weather down to gray, and you're mostly good. I have several WIP's that are trying something similar (using 6 shades of grey and lots of dirty washes using Les Bursley's recipes). Season with the occasional red shapes for rebs (because of the blue screen they had to use!) or clean look for imps.

The paint scheme is an over exaggerated form of the one in the movie (Redemption). I prefer the grey version though, currently my painted Neb-B is done like the Force Unleashed II (I refuse to abbreviate that name) except I gave it a blue tint so it feels more like the Yavaris artwork. this is easily my favorite space battle though. I can't wait to recreate it I've already thought about how to make an objective that fits.
As you can see its, its likely to get it.
How about the DP20, btw ... as kind of a Rebel Raider?
And the Dreadnought for both the Rebel and the Imperial side?

I bet most of these will show up... we are not even in Wave II... yet.
Believe it or not it is NOT out yet in wide release.
The known for Rebels and Empire ships will last for 2 - 3 more waves ...
When they don't mix up with First Order stuff ... which I hope not - but FFG will do this at some point eventually ..
FFG could bring this and this is what I would be really excited for:

Yeah I bet we get SCUM next year.
I think if we see Scum (and i'm not sure whether I want to tbh, but thats an aside) it'll be later than that. Not until at least wave 5/6 would be my totally wild guess, and at Armada speeds thats probably 2017 or so.
Nothing to back this up really, just kind of going by how long it took for X-Wing and then the longer wave gaps for Armada.
I hope we don't get a generic scum faction, but a faction each for
Zann
Black Sun
Mandalore
Hutts

I agree but we know they will do it generic like in X-Wing.
Do we really know this?
... sub factions would work for me as well.
The problem with subfactions is two-fold: A) there has to be a large number of ships available to the subfaction, and B) there has to be a large number of ships unique to it. Without A, there's no diversity within the faction for list building. Without B, there's little difference between subfactions 1 and 2.
Personally, I think Armada (at least) is likely to eventually move toward 2 factions per trilogy: Rebel/Empire, Resistance/First Order, and possibly even Republic/Separtist, giving us 6 factions to choose from. The popularity of such a concept will vary widely, of course. I suppose it's possible some form of scum could make an appearance -- I'm not terribly familiar with the capital ship capabilities of the scummy factions, but it seems to me that a lot of them simply use outdated vessels, which should maybe just be in other factions.
