[Spoilers(?] non-x-wing Ship concept art for TFA

By Babaganoosh, in X-Wing

Some interesting takes on starfighter design here. I guess we could be seeing some of these in TFA, but it's impossible to say one way or another.

I saw these last night too. Indie Revolver has posted a lot of genuinely leaked concept art so far but who knows if these made it into the movies. Rebels definitely need the full alphabet of fighters though...

I like the last non x-wing one. Vould be a c-wing of a j-wing

Love the second from the top. It's Star Wars like without pandering to existing designs.

I second that. I'm not really feeling it for the other 2 non X-wing designs.

It's lifted almost straight out of clone wars, right?

OBLIGATORY

Not quite. It looks a bit like The Twilight that Anakin flew in TCW but wouldn't say a direct lift.

In order from the top, they're calling these the v-wing, c-wing, u-wing and the bottom is an x-wing but seems likely unused.

Little annoyed at the v-wing since that's been a thing in Star Wars twice before now but still not really clear if these will actually be canon yet.

I would love to see this one:

I like the V-wing better. Asymmetrical ships just rub me the wrong way.

I was just thinking about how cool this one would be as a SLAM-capable cannon carrier, or high-attack ship. Basically an assault fighter that operates a little bit like how people were flying lambda shuttles about a year ago, only a bit more forgiving - on a small base and with SLAM. But with no K-turn capability.
