Interest check: Knight Level "Clone Wars" forum RP

Well, she does have the Battle Meditation and Protect powers...

Now you've done it - made the Twi'lek padawan the moral compass!

Padawan Tabby, Morale Officer!

She's the only one who went Paragon. Obi Wan had to give you guys SOMEONE with moral fiber...

Oh, right. That too. :D

Anyone got something they want to do before I dump you on planet?

I'm just trying to figure out who I have to call "sir". :)

General, General, General, and Major, IIRC. with a polite "Sir" to the civilian working with you.

Well, technically, Papy, the Knights are all "Generals" and as a Padawan I'm only a "Commander."

As you're a sergeant though, we all get rank on you!

.... That Major looks ominously like a lead in to a joke ...

But no ... aside from covering up her schoolgirl crush on Obi-Wan, Tabby is ready to go.

Works for me.

I'm good-to-go.

Yay!

I've been on the road for 24 hours. Sorry for the delayed response.

Can we rework gear a bit?

I'd like to try to install a Crit mod. Is that ok?

Love the setup.

Everyone (well, all the Knights) has their 1 free modification from building their own sabers.

I just need to sort out my character voice: specifically the exasperated sigh and head held in hands part of it (since I do have ten years more experience than you lot).

I am very much looking forward to ordering you lot around. Bonus points for if I actually persuade anyone to listen to the vastly more experienced Jedi!

Can we make any further modifications since we've all had our kit for a while?

you can since you've passed your trials for awhile, but the cost of mods comes out of your starting credits.

Happy to be part of this. Since I was chosen, I'm going to try to clean up my character sheet a bit (no changes save the free Lightsaber modification we apparently get, just going to fill in some missing details i.e. physical description) and find a picture if I can.

The only thing my character would want to do before leaving the temple, is to do a quick search of the library records to see what I can find out about the planet Navarion. As it's not a major planet (I assume), my character probably wouldn't have too much knowledge about it off-hand and thus would want to know more about what he's getting into. I imagine this would be pretty standard procedure for him. If he doesn't have much time, he'll just read the basic "encyclopedia entry" and copy whatever looks important/relevant to his datapad for reading on the flight out. Things he would consider most important: social etiquette, geography, recent history, local species, and the planet's political factions. I realize he won't get too much in any one topic, but he would consider basic knowledge better than no knowledge. (I don't know how you want to handle this.)

I'd consider it par for the course for your 4 inteligence knowlege checks later the session. your character did that research, and is so more likely to successfully recall stuff later on.

I may occasionally put exposition into your mouth if I feel it's important to the scene.

Well that was unexpected. I had no cash left but thought I'd roll my pocket money. And I got 100 creds exactly. So without further ado I think I'll reduce my crit rating to 1 for my free mod and buying Vicious 1 for 100 credits:

Lightsaber mod roll: 1eP+2eA+2eF+1eD 1 success, 2 advantage, 2 Light Side, 1 Dark Side

p-s-a.pnga-a.pnga-a.pngf-ds.pngf-ls-ls.pngd-th.png

I'll swap out the 2 Light Sides for 2 Advantages, as I assume that gets me some sort of bonus?

Edit: Also, when will we see the IC/OOC threads go up? Because I'd prefer to post my actions before the mission there.

Probably sometime today or tommorrow.

Hmm. The second mod (after your free one) costs 200c, so your starting creds arnt enough. Also the difficulty is 1 higher for the second mod.

There arnt any listed benifits to modding an attachment with advantages. (there is, however, benifits to rolling well when creating your own saber in the first place- the free attach is just a benifit of success, advantage/threat and triumph/despair have theeir own stat modifiers)

I'll keep my credits then.

My first action would be to rustle up some transport. Are we flying with the Republic military (so the military spaceport we see in the movies) or in a Jedi ship (so the Temple Hangar)?

I'm figuring we're going to open with one of those Republic Counsular Ships from ep 1 landing at the planet and the jedi meeting with the locals.

If it's not a problem, I would be curious to know how the others spend their time on the flight over. I'm assuming we're looking at several hours of down-time minimum, so I would be interested to find out how the characters spend their time.

We're doomed. It's a trap. I've got a bad feeling about this.

You're setting us up for disaster with one of those!

I'd like to see that too. We can throw that into the IC thread.

OK, this is the first PbP game I've done on these forums, and am looking for some advice on how to handle things. Specifically...

1. Dice rolls

2. IC speech vs OOC chat.

With the way I've got this set up, I'd like to get Jereru's character involved as soon as possible. Recaps and flashbacks are fine, but I prefer to avoid a "yup, still flying" segment right at the beginning of the game.

If Rakaydos is ok I think we'll go with the tried-and-tested methods we've already got going on the forums:

1. This is handled through the Orokos dice roller. When you make a roll, simply copy/paste the bbcode from it into your post and there it is: orokos.com/roll

2. Think of it as you would at the table: if your character is speaking, or it directly relates to them, use the IC thread. For things you are thinking (xp spending, GM questions, that sort of thing) use OOC

Agreed. But a brief paragraph can set the scene nicely, regardless of where it takes place.

Yup, still flyig.

Sorry, guys, Monday is our real life Star Wars weekly game, and today we had a late session combat that took us a little more than expected, so I'm late. I didn't even have dinner!

So, I'm in Navarion. What is my situation and what do you want me to do?
