If you use Expert Handling can you still use PTL or does the stress token you get prevent you from taking further actions?
Expert Handling and PTL
You can use PtL off of the free barrel role, then get stress from PtL and then from EH
You can use PtL from the free barrel roll action within Expert Handling. It will become what's known as a 'nested action' which means you perform whatever action from your action bar, receive the PtL stress token, before coming back to Expert Handling and removing the target lock from your ship.
The only ship that could use this combo would be an A-wing, so the only stress you would get stress from PtL and Expert Handling. Not a great combo as you'd take two turns to clear the stress. But it's not a bad way to go for a stress token record with Tycho.
No A-Wing's don't have a natural barrel roll so they'd take both stress.
I thought it did. Just goes to show how often I use them. ![]()
Hey they won the tourney I was at yesterday lol 2 of them with Dash. Unassuming yet seemed to out-fox everyone.

I attended a tournament here in New Zealand (as a spectator unfortunately), and saw a similar list with Dash and 2 A-wings. As far as I know, it went well for the player. They wouldn't be dealing a great deal of damage each turn, but I imagine they'd be slippery arc-dodgers around the table.
This is in the FAQ under Push the Limit:
"See Experimental Interface. Free actions, such as a free action granted from Squad Leader, can trigger Push the Limit. This can result in an action interrupting another effect, causing that effect to finish resolving later. For example, if a ship performs a free barrel roll action granted by Expert Handling, it could use that action as a trigger for Push the Limit. After Push the Limit resolves, Expert Handling finishes resolving. If a player uses Push the Limit to attempt an action he is unable to perform (such as attempting to Target Lock a ship that is out of range), he may perform a different action or decide not to use Push the Limit at all."
May the Dice be with you.
so could you say... Tycho with Test Pilot, Expert Handling, Push the Limits, and Exp. Interface, do an action, then EI for Expert Handling, then PTL for another action, get 3 stress...
Technically yes ![]()

Yes, that's also how Psycho Tycho build works (just swap Expert Handling for Daredevil)
