So, long story short, I have had Dash as one of my mainstay builds since it launched (Mostly Super dash /Corran at first, but I experimented with z's etc.)
I am trying to come up with a build that counters what I am seeing in my local meta (mainly those 4 TLT Ys and standard stuff like Fat Han, and RAC w/ Soontir)
With the rise of the 4x TLT, I am moving away from 2 ship builds, but I don't want to sacrifice much on Dash unless it is absolutely necessary.
With that said, here are the builds I am coming up, and so far none of them are ideal ...
Super Dash w/ Talas
58 pts Dash (PTL, HLC, Kyle, title, and EU)
39 pts 3x Talas
(97 pts total ... not sure what to do with last 3 ... p rockets?)
-Pros : Time-tested Super Dash and 3 escort ships. All ships will shoot before 4x TLT.
-Cons: Not really much to counter Soontir or arc dodgers.
Dash w/ Blount / talas
53 pts Dash (PTL, HLC, Leebo, title)
20 pts Lt Blount w/ Ion missles
26 pts 2x Talas
(99 pts total)
-Pros: Blount gives a guranteed ion shot (could be very useful against soontir/arc dodgers or forcing Fat Han or a decimator on to a rock), 4 ships that shoot before TLT
-Cons: Dash looses kyle and, to save more points, Leebo is used for boost in place of EU
Dash's Daggers
50 pts Dash (Lone Wolf, Mangler, Recon Spec, title)
48 pts 2x Dagger Squad
(98 pts total)
Pros- Lots of shields/hull (26 total), all ships shoot before 4x TLT, more defense oriented dash with LW and Recon
Cons- No HLC, and no upgrades for the 2 Bs, not much to counter arc dodgers (although mangler gets rid of doughnut)
"Almost" Super Dash w/ Blount and Dagger
56 pts Dash (PTL, HLC, Nien Nunb, title, and EU)
20 pts Lt Blount w/ ion missles
24 pts Dagger
(100 pts total)
Pros: Blount to counter arc dodgers stealth device (and ion ships on to rocks), all ships shoot before 4x TLT, and a "mostly" Super Dash
Cons: Lost Kyle (although Nien helps make Dash less predictable)
Thoughts?
