Was thinking of giving this as an "upgrade" to my 6 man AoR group once they get enough reputation (as an upgrade from their current 2-man fighters)

Considering the X-Wing is an upgrade from the ARC-170....

The starfighter creation thread has it, although all the links are dead, so you'll have to browse. Designing it yourself, I would say find a respectable source and think of intermediary between the Z-95 Headhunter and the X-wing. It's not in the books (yet), though. I'm betting on AoR.

Well, it might actually be somewhat better than that, since it would be a serious drawback for rebels to have a three man ship when they can get a one man ship that's almost as good.

I'm willing to bet it is at least as good (in general, of course) as the x-wing, but the x-wing is better for the rebels OOB since it's a one-man ship.
